Sorry you're having a bad time Stacey, Mary's quickly joining that group and I'm about to leave it, dang bug is still lingering on me. This is one nasty one, everyone's getting it. :(

Got one for Karen and others too. Remember the discussion on March of the Penguins?

Here's one that could really shock the kids.

In looking at the new release list on Hollywood video, I found a new one that I honestly look at and go HUH?? (don't show the kids this under any circumstances).

http://www.hollywoodvideo.com/movies/movie.aspx?MID=141405

Thanks, Mark....still wishing I could just roll over and die. Jay asked if I would get quarantined on the ship. Not if I can help it!

I absolutely do NOT believe that someone actually pays money to make these movies, let alone go see them or buy them! Unbelievable!!

Thanks for the wishes, this was my first time and the kids seemed to enjoy it plus less mess with no wrappers.
I put the batter in the cones with the flat bottoms, placed them in loaf tins so they didn't fall over, baked them, frosted and decorated them.

Please don't laugh at me, but I figured that was how it was done...except I thought that the cone would burn. :confused3 Thanks!

We showed our dive pictures to Sharon and my parents tonight. They really enjoyed seeing the sharks and baracudas swimming with Matt.

Good grief, do not show those pictures to Jordan! She swears she won't snorkel with us anymore, because she's afraid she'll get eaten by a shark or a baracuda.

Nothing better than bein woken up by the sound of a child vomiting...sigh...........It is going to be one heck of a day...

Just don't tell Scoopie what you are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coffee - must have coffee --

Prayers and lots of pixie dust for a co-worker - he and his children should be relatively ok, but his car was hit, it went airborn and crashed. At first the children were trapped, but the EMs did manage to pull the children (babies out). Another car that started the crash also killed 4 people. What a tragedy at Christmas.

On a happier note, Mother's house is now "looking a lot like Christmas". I started with a few items, and asked what do you miss. After a while, it seemed most of the decorations were on display. All were re-aranged from past years so it looks different as well. A few were retired, a few stayed in boxes, but her house looks cheery. She received a good report from the eye docter, no major problems, she is not losing her sight, she needs stronger glasses and should not read paperbacks 4 hours a day - well gee, I knew that gave you eye strain (sorry Virg...not butting in on your profession). We seem to be on track for a good Christmas and four of her friends have accepted the invitation for my "ladies lunch". Bye the way, thanks for letting me vent. I wrote the letter to the cousin but never sent it. Guess what I found last night - a Christmas Card from said cousin as if nothing was wrong....Decided to let sleeping mice lie. (It's Christmas, we have mice not dogs).

Anyone want any dust? I seem to have more than my fair share so I will gladly give it away. Just come and get it....under the bed, on tops of pictures, many places you can gather it up......Here let me give you a mop....

Later.... :wave2:

Continued safe travels and GET WELL for all who are sicky poo.....

Good morning all! Happy Hump Day!!!

Amanda, I hope you all don't get sick!!! NO FUN!

Stacey, get better before your cruise.

We're all well (enough) here. Emily still has a slight cough but I'm sure that'll just linger for a few more days. I have a sore throat but nothing major.

Ang

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Wednesday!

Still not feeling 100% but work is crazy so in I go. Just today and tomorrow and then I get a 4 day weekend. Pixie dust going out to everyone who is under the weather.

haven't been around much. busier than ever here (weren't things supposed to slow down after the last performance?)

all of my holiday baking is done. now i have trays of goodies in my closet so that evil kitty can't destroy them. must deliver those. trying to get organized for tomorrow night's sleepover. i'll have 4 drama queens here from the play. nice of KT to volunteer OUR house! nick started his braces yesterday. lovely headgear and two front braces. kt starts tomorrow. causing some friction here....nick's braces are medically necessary....he has major problems that will just get worse if he doesn't get some more room. kt's are more cosmetic, although they did give me some good arguments why it would be more healthy. because i "prepaid" some of nick's treatment 3 years ago when he had his palate expander, his bill is "reasonable." kt's is not. but, as she wants to go into theater, i want to give her every advantage. mike thinks it's over kill and that OF COURSE the orthodontist is going to say she needs braces. (sigh)

still only about 50% done wrapping. Christmas cards are finally out (first time in 3 yrs) house is as decorated as it can be with aforementioned evil kitty. oh...and i'm supposed to be catching up on school for the next couple of days. yeah, let me squeeze that in!

plus we leave for DCL on jan 6th....what? the kids need clothes to wear? huh? AND shoes? (sigh) for that matter....me too.

hope everyone that is ill bounces back and is well for Christmas. hope all that are well STAY that way!!!

Now THERE's a tag... hope whichever little munchkin is 'dietetically-gravity-challenged' is feeling better this morning, and that you got some sleep after the middle of the night sheet-changing drill. (I HATE THOSE!)

The great (???) thing about my new house, is that I can't hear either of my kids from my bedroom. I wouldn't have liked that much when they were little, but now I think its great!!!

Finally got a glimpse of DD's new 'friend' who she walks to and from school with every day... HE was in our driveway on his bike yesterday (I was peeking out the dining room window, not wanting to be the meddling mother)... til Dad pulled in, then he took off down the road in a big hurry... :rotfl2: . It's gonna be a long 6 years til graduation, I can just tell.

We can't hear the girls across our house either. That's why we still use baby monitors at ages 5 & 3!

So, how was the new "friend"?

Don't know... I only saw him through the window... he disappeared as soon as Ray's truck pulled in the yard. She tells me nothing... but shares 'tidbits' of info with my Mom... so we'll get the whole story sooner or later.

Oh, to be in 6th grade again...

:wave2:

Good Morning to All!!

One of the best things about being a teacher is "Winter break". I love teaching children to read.......but I also love waking up whenever I want to on a chilly (Hey, it was 47 here this morning!), December morning.

All our shopping is done, but I think I will go to the mall while Kelly is at gym today and people watch. I love to do that!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday to All!

In our case, it's the GIRLS who do all the calling on the phone...in the 6th grade! My Mom would have beaten me with a stick if I'd called a boy. Some of these girls even call Jared as late as midnight, but I'm sure by then, their parents are in bed and don't know they're on the phone.
Good luck with that.....better make sure you have a baseball bat!

My crud seems to be loosening today...which involves a whole lot more coughing and gagging, which makes it FEEL worse...but I know ( I hope ) it's a sign of getting better. Still had a fever this a.m. though. And I have waaaay too much to do to deal with this! Oh well, such is life I guess.

It helps that DH is a Pop Warner football coach for the boys her age... word travels quickly that Dad is a big mean guy who yells A LOT!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: So far, that's worked pretty well with Jordan, too!

Remember me, the one who had the Christmas cards and presents all ready to go out, before Thanksgiving???

I am not packed and we leave on Friday. I am nowhere near being packed.
So much for "Mrs. Organized"..............:guilty:
