Ok, I'm thinking my time off from the kids wasn't worth it. I met my parents in the middle to make the switch. I sent the kids there with one duffle, 2 bikes and 2 scooters. They came home with one duffle, 2 bikes, 2 scooters, 6 walmart bags full of *stuff*, one cooler of food, one 5 foot tall stuffed with straw scarecrow, 4 Halloween hanging mobiles, and approximately 35 pumpkins.

That is what my sister and her hubby say when I have had Nick and Emmy for a few days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww....but they LOVE them! Makes me wish my parents had lived closer when the kids were little. My Dad was always the official pumpkin cleaner/carver.
Now that it's my responsiblity, we paint the pumpkins!

Carving pumpkins ranks right up there on my 'least favorite things to do list' (right along with coloring Easter eggs).

Last night, I went out and bought a FAKE pumpkin... pre-carved, with a light in it... looks real from the road, but without the mold and funky smell that develops after a day or two on the porch. (Florida is NOT the ideal place to let a pumpkin sit on your porch.) No more gourd mutilation for me!!
