Angie and all the rest of us blabbermouths -

If anyone is ever in the NYC area, please stop by. I would love to have you over. I can't wait to get into that kitchen and really cook. I've been cooking with a limited kitchen for 5 months now. Look out!!!

Maria
How exciting for you!! It must feel good to be so close to the finish of the project. Do you have a idea for the inaugural dinner??

With Fairy Tale to toast the "opening"?

Everyone must be out enjoying the last tastes of summer and not keeping up with their DIS posts. Yesterday was a pretty slow day.

Today we are off to JB's Fishcamp for an afternoon treat. Nothing like some Rockshrimp and a cold pitcher. It's a great way to spend the time as Matt eat's his way through a tray of food. The weather is going to be nice so it will be a Jeep trip with the neighbors.
NO FAIR! Sandi and I love rockshrimp! You can only have some if you agree to have a extra portion for sandi and i. pirate:

I heard there is a Dixie Crossings opening in Orlando. They are supposed to have great rockshrimp.

Sure! and Banfi with desert!!

That's waht I call "compromise"......

Introducing client and his new bride to Fairy Tale as part of Food and Wine....This will be fun, they are newbies.....

Mmmmmm, cannot wait to over-indulge.....(hic)

Back to cleaning the screened porch (blah) OK, must not complain...last year about this time, we had assistance with cleaning - the two storms blew the screens cleanded and depostited lots of "wash" water on the floor.....perhaps I can do this without help ('cept for DH who is scrubbing...must go help)

Pretty sure I've never had rockshrimp. Did someone already explain what it is, for the non-Floridians? Will have to put it on my To Do list.

I WANT to go to F&W. Does that count? Someone have a glass of Coco Loco wine at the FL booth for me, OK?

We get to go to the State Fair today! Oh joy! One of those things you avoid if at all possible. But Alicia's dance team is performing, so we have to go. First time they've danced there. They dance at 5, but we have to be at the studio at 2. After the performance, we will probably get something to eat and leave. And we'll stay far away from the midway.

I know of one in Titusville and one in Mt. Dora, but not sure of Orlando.

Sorry to disagree Dive Buddy, but they are little shrimp. They would be in the 20-30 count per pound range. Very hard shell on them.

But you are right, they taste like lobsters!!! :cool1:

Andy (verandahman) always goes to the one in Titusville and he posted last month that there is a brand new one in Orlando (over by Wet & Wild I think). In fact when he went over in August they weren't open yet but it had the coming soon banner up.

Well, maybe I'm thinking of something else then. The ones I remember were about 2" long or so. Is that right?

Well, as soon as I leave for work at the library, Larry gets loose again. I guess I'll have to get better guard dogs! :dog2: :pug: :dog:

I've never heard of Dixie Crossings. I'm assuming that it has good food? We always have gone to Florida's Seafood and Grill in Cocoa Beach for our rockshrimp.
