Pam,

Posted the picture on our site and sent you the link. Try it again. I renamed it without the & symbol and it works! That is something that html does not like is all the symbols. Gotta keep it simple!
I bet that if you renamed it on the Yahoo site it would work as well!

Good Morning All - Nick had his swim meet yesterday at a pool I belonged to 40 years ago. That really made me feel like I am aging!

And Nick has official permission from his parents to join us on the cruise!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:  He will be 9 at cruise time and just finishing 3rd grade. When the penpals start please let me know.

Sue

If both Nicks don't mind a girl penpal- Maggie will be nine and just finished 3rd grade by cruise time...Her best "boy" friend thinks she's a cool girl - she watches NASCAR, plays soccer and basketball...

Remember, there is the DIS photo gallery at: http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/

All you have to do is login there with your DIS account and upload, then once it's up, just right click it for a link :)

As far as resizing, the gallery does it for you, but I prefer this little gem for doing quick photo work: Irfanview(click)

I've heard about that program Mark! Suppose to be pretty good!

We got both Photo Shop and Paint Shop Pro, either one of those work very nicely, albeit more expensive.....

Nick is at that wonderful, innocent age where gender is not an issue, except his little sister. He also plays soccer, indoor and outdoor. Lax (not my favorite) and swimming.

Okay, here is a picture of Scoopie at swim practice yesterday with Ashley (suite with circles) and Nicole. They are best friends and both girls will be on the cruise together next year. They will both turn 11 this fall.

I think I will have to try the dis gallery and see if that works. I will keep trying this thing till I get it all figured out.

Thanks Kevin for your help!!!

Karen (kiki) what time did Ray get home?

He finally fell into bed at 3:49AM... he had gone to work at 7AM... so it was a long day for him. He's off today, but has to work on the 4th... 7AM-10PM... Richard Petty Driving Experience...

He was in victory lane last night after the race... SOMEBODY had to make sure the champagne got there safely! (Tough job...)

Matt- congrats on 10,000... sure- FINALLY show your face on the board, and pirate: the big one!!! Enjoy your time with your Dad... he's missed you!! Come home soon, so Mom will stop worrying!

Mary,

I finally got the picture on, but if you would like me to send you one, send me your email address. I knew I had it once, but can't seem to find it.

Pam - I posted before I realized Kevin had helped. Looks great! That Scoopie is one lucky cone - not only does he get to travel around, but he gets to meet so many cute girls.

I use PSP7 for the more complicated stuff like fixing lighting or red-eye or such. Irfanview is small, compact, fast, and free(totally, no begging or 'reminders' or any other nonsense). Very handy for simple quick resizes. It also lets you 'flip' thru pictures if you just want to do a slideshow, just open the first one and spacebar and backspace(or the mouse buttons) scroll thru whatever pics are in the folder with it.

Wow, busy group last night. I did get a play by play on the race to 10,000. Too funny that Matt got it. Quiet and sneaky, that one.

Those of you that are struggling with posting pictures might want to check with your internet providers. Most accounts allow for a small amount of personal web space, enough to have a web page or at least put some pictures out there. It requires some type of FTP program to transfer the pics, but you don't have to pay extra fees.

I was looking around and found This little program, a Power Toy add-on that looks interesting as well.

Who says, we are all about fluff?? :rolleyes1

To edit my pictures, the one that I use the most and have the best luck with is ArcSoft PhotoImpression.

Kevin, I bought the really expensive one we talked about a while back (last year) but apparently it is waaay to "large" for my computer. It wouldn't install.

I have several other programs that I've used with some success, Photosuite, and PictureIt!......but PhotoImpression works for me.

I guess I should put some more of my pics on the DIS album.....that sounds like it would make it easier.
I didn't think my computer was such a dinosaur...but maybe it is. It's an hp pavilion 764c....Pentium 4.......how far behind the times am I??

It's just the size of your hard drive and/or memory that is likely the problem. That Paint Shop Pro 9.0 is a great program, it is rather large though.

If you want to upgrade, check this Dell out looks VERY nice!! I've been thinking about doing the same thing, since my desktop is going on 4 years old now. The squirrels are getting tired..... :teeth:

I was looking through my paperwork to see when I got this one...I can't imagine it has been four years....maybe close to three. But each year brings new advances.

I did remove a ton of programs, trying to free up space for Paint Shop Pro. Still didn't work. This wasn't funny, but it does show what my luck is like.....I bought the program at Target...the only store close to us. They had ONE left. I get it home.....it's an empty box! Someone had stolen the disk out of the box. Luckily, Target gave me my money back. That should have been my first clue that I wasn't supposed to have that program! LOL

Here's a dumb question: Can I just get a new CPU, without having to get a new monitor?? I like my flat-screen.

Not a dumb question at all and the answer is yes. Your monitor should work with any new CPU you buy.

I don't WANT to have to buy anything new. This one still feels NEW to me. It's just so aggravating to not be able to copy pictures to disk and view them.
We are in the process of having all of Jay's dad's slides put onto disk. Not an inexpensive task.....
We got the first disk back, and I can't view it. It's on some kind of archival "special" disk. What's odd is that I did get them to download to My Pictures. So I made a copy on a 700mb disk....which will usually play on my computer....they still won't play! I'm ready to chuck the whole thing out the back door.

Did I ever mention that I have no patience????:headache:
