That's so true. I can read a thriller or a book with violence, but I can't watch it on TV or a Movie. The visual is just too much for me. But, I do love intrigue books.

Well, I've only seen it happen once. We were at WDW and they were coming to join us. They were going to meet us in the VWL lobby. But it was only Mike's mom....we couldn't find Butch. Here he was sitting in the corner in a dress and hat!! Pretty funny. We got pictures for blackmail!

Hi guys....going to "copy & paste" to all my pals. Thank you so much for your prayers....you all are very good at it. As far as we can tell, the fire headed north with the wind from the little bit of rain we had. We have still been moving things to the basement at the shop this morning...so I haven't had a chance to sit. We are going to go ahead with our plans to leave town. We've done what we can do, and if the fire turns again, there's nothing we could do to stop it.
Jordan has been frantic, she's very afraid, so we are better off not being here to watch it anyway.
It seems to us that your prayers have worked, though...and I think our house will be fine. We haven't had any word from anyone whose homes were burned....not surprising....horrible times.
Thank you too for the birthday wishes for Jared. The first thing he said was "What's a TOP?" My first laugh of the day! So I don't think he wants to trade his present...only one...mean Mom...but it's a good one...PSP something or another that he wanted.
Gotta run....will have the laptop so that we can stay in touch with all.

Hi folks - Taking a break from another hectic day and trying to keep up with posts. Hard to do at times but.

1. Post 8743 is a MILESTONE POST - More important than our others and deserves an award. Stacey reported she is fine for now. Between the news and CNN front page, this has been terrifying for me, thinking of Stacey and crew. I remember all too well being on 95 between the lanes of flames (and that was not my home).

2. I'm joining Mary or was it Grandma lightbulb in obtainin a golden mickey antenna topper. No industrial glue 'cause I take it off when I go on the interstate - to avoid antenna whip lash.

3. E-bay - what will people not sell. Good for you turning in "that" item, poopy on them. FYI - as to a post a long ways back. Only once did I receive a note from an e-bay seller that requested I rate her and she would rate me (wonderful). Whether it was the advanced praise for me, or that I did not bid that often so I was not aware it was important, sure enough, the next day I logged on and rated her high....

4. Movies....well, not a fan and no kids to protect so can't help you here. Have not seen the last Star Wars. DH is trying to get me to go. Was so disappointed in the ist (after the 3 fun and campy stories) I gave up. Saw the 2nd reluctantly this past May, on a laptop no less.

5. Mary - pictures, yes we will look forward to pictures and thanks for your updates. I wanna go toooooo!

6. Books -Blind Book Exchange - we all bring a book on the Double Scoop and exchange - Good Idea - Bad Idea - Will this group play fair and bring a book they like - or the one that would not sell on E-Bay Hum, a character test as well.

7. Wine - sorry - still do not have the list but I wrote down the Banfi name as I could not believe my eyes. Will post that soon. They (ABC) had several from that vineyard. (Yes, forget the book exchange, do a wine exchange instead)

Ok - relaxed now - going back to work.
