My sister has recommended a Maryland wine for me to bring. Wait, she is coming on this cruise. My sister has a favorite wine she will be proud to share.
Hey Sue, our family company has decided to come to Baltimore in October for the National Remodeling Conference that is being held there. Might have time to get together for quickie get together over dinner or something. I LOVE crab cakes!!! Know any good spots in the down town area?

We'll be staying at the Sheraton by the convention center, but will have a car.

I know I'm late to the party but have you guys been seeing the picture of the day thread. Kevin put his beautiful moon picture in from the 10 day. I added a picture of the pirate ship from the 10 day. Really fun thread.

Yes I love seeing all the pictures! I think it is great because we all love lookinig at DCL and WDW pictures, but sometimes wading through photo albums can be a bit much. THis way you can enjoy one picture at a time. I still think Kevins picture is the most beautiful of them all. I am going to print it out on my PcitureMate.....I would love a big one though, so I could frame it...

For all you Punny folks:

A Kentucky horse breeder had a filly that won every race. But as she
aged, she became temperamental. When he raced her in the evening,
she won handily. But in day races, she finished last. He consulted the
top veterinarians and horse psychologists, to no avail. He finally gave
up, because she had become a real night mare.
:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: good one!

Now that we are back I had to change my countdown times. Took off the WDW trip but I added our trip to Disneyland in. So if anyone is out in the Disneyland area and would like to get together for a pre-cruise meet let us know! Really looking forward to seeing Disneyland decorated for the holidays.

Just can't go without counting down to something fun!

OK I am going to let this one slide, as this was posted before I enacted my new rule!!;)

whats a minute pie mold?:confused3
It's actually a very dangerous quick growing mold that will eat your skin if you come in contact with it!! It often grows in rainy areas of the country in the back of the closets or in hot tub jets......... :earseek: In microscope cross section the culprit resembles a piece of cut pie!!

Good morning cruisers! Looks like Scoopie is having a great time! Should we get him a tiny souvenier, a pin or something for each trip? We could give them as prizes to the kids on the cruise, maybe at the first meet. Just a thought.

Diana, I think this is a great idea!

Kevin & Alicia are off for a D&D day. To make up for being gone constantly since we got back from the trip, mostly making up to me. I'm going to work today. So if you see me posting, tell me to get back to work!

Where do you work at Diana? For some reason I thought you were a SAHM..
Mary, I know what you mean about looking forward to the next trip. Always need a plan! That's the best thing about DVC, you know there will always BE a plan. I used to think I went into a depression after each trip, because all I want to do when I get back is sleep. But I have a come to realize that it's really just a hard time re-adjusting to the altitude (we live at about 5500 feet). We've been back two weeks and I'm finally starting to feel semi-normal. At least I wasn't depressed
I actually do think that I get depressed when I get home from a trip. THe only I am not bawling when leaving WDW or DCL is becasue I know that I have a new one planned. If there ever comes a day that we cant afford to have a new trip planned, I am going to be in some serious trouble..

Diana - I know what you mean about getting back in the swing after vacation. I was really in a daze most of yesterday and I had plenty of down time at WDW. I think part of it was that the heat and humidity was very draining. Plus we had much later nights than normal. Getting up at 1 am due to fireworks will mess up your sleep schedule, but boy was it worth it!

Another thing I love about DVC is the washer/dryer in the room. I did laundry on Friday night while we relaxed in the room and when I unpacked everything just had to be put away. Nice! I never thought I'd be a fan of doing laundry on vacation but it really worked well for us.

I have to admit, this last trip we stayed for 10 days at POP...2 adults and 4 kids and boy oh boy, I think some things actually had evolved to the next stage of life by the time I got home to do laundry....Hauling clothes around the resort is not my idea of vacation, but if I had the w/d in the room it would be nice.

Alicia and I took my father to see Mom (at convalescent home) and then went to see Herbie. It was cute, lots of families there.

Coming out of the theater it was raining.... just wondering where Jim is???? :umbrella:

Did you enjoy Herbie? I took the kids to see it on WEDS night of last week, and I really enjoyed it, as did they...except for NAte who was being a hoodlum...

I have been AWOL again and I can't seem to catch up on all the posts I have missed. Have I missed anything good??? Went to Tucson and dropped Ashley off and didn't get back home until Tuesday night. Went back to work on Wednesday, My oldest son Dale turned 15 on Thursday and Ashley got home from swim camp on Thursday night.

Now, I need to take a minute to brag on Ashley. We had 1 event at a swim meet on Friday night and then spent all day on Saturday at the meet. Ashley had an awesome meet. She won her first event on Saturday and improved her times in 7 out of 9 events over the 3 days. Ended the day with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th and was tied for 2nd place overall. Went back today and she placed 2nd, 2 3rd's and 7th and ended up as the high point age 9-10 girl. She got a trophy and was soooo excited.

In between all of that, my SIL got married last night and we had a late night.

Hopefully, I can catch up again and find out what has been going on with everybody lately

WTG Ashley!!!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Does everyone have big plans for July 4th. A little depressing, we were in WDW last year on the 4th. That was amazing. Caught the fireworks at both MGM and then EPCOT. Gotta love staying at the BWV. We cancelled our plans for Austin next weekend, as we are hoping that Ashley makes the State Swim meet towards the end of July, also in Austin

We are going to head back to Destin for the nice 3 day weekend......

Yeah, I did! It brought back memories of the original Herbie, which come out before I was born of course.

Hey, don't lump me in with "everyone." I can't talk wine. :) The most wine I drink with any regularity is on a cruise.

Right now I'm finishing my fine "wine"...vintage 2005. Bottled in Rochester, NY. It's Mike's Hard Lemonade. :)

I know, I know, it's not a wine.

I just love their motto....A hard Mike's is good to find. ;)

Gunka, dont feel bad...I'm no wino either! :drinking: :earsgirl: :rotfl:
