This is my 9th post for today.

Had some weird stuff happen today. My dad (at 4 in the morning) hit a deer. He's alright, deer is alright, car is smashed up. My mom is depressed b/c my sister is planning a 50th wedding anniversary party for July 30th--she was inviting immediate family plus my mom's brothers and their wives....and today my mom got an invitation to her brother's 35th wedding anniversary party on July 30th! Of course, invitations to her party are/were going to go out tomorrow....so now she's not sure she wants all the brothers invited and she's sad b/c her FIFTIETH is being trumped by a THIRTY-FIFTH. Dealing with that set of her emotions has drained me. (sigh)

I've got to get some things done around here and hopefully will veg to watch a movie tonight (Aviator---been holding onto it for weeks--hard to find a 2 hour 50 minute chunk of time to watch a movie!)

I chose the veg route tonight also. Everyone else is busy tonight so I got the movie "Bridget Jones - the edge of reason". Almost identical in plot to the first Bridget Jones. Cute, but it is not appropriate for kids and Jim would have thought it was silly. Oh well, . . . . .

Lisa called last night to let us know how her first day of camp had gone. She is certainly not suffering. They are staying in AmeriSuites with 3 girls to a room (2 double beds and a pull out couch per room) with a kitchen and living area for the week. Yesterday was their get to know each other time (before they start 8-10 hours of gymnastic training per day). They went to Islands of Adventure. Unfortunately, Lisa was too short to go on either Hulk or Dueling Dragons. But, she had a lot of fun. I don't remember camp like this. Karen (OM) is this how your camp is going to be? HA HA

One of my complaints about this house is that with the great master bathroom that we have, there are no jets in the tub... you guys are making me glad that there aren't!!!!!! Never thought about how gross they could get.

KikiKar, they are okay if you stay on top of cleaning them...but alas, a housewife I am not, and sometimes more time passses than Iwould like to admit to before can clean them...

We're home! Had a great flight, but boy are we tired (getting up at 4 am for a 7 am flight will do that). The plan was to go to Milwaukee for the race tonight, but we are just too too tired! So a quick check of the boards and then a nap!

School is out for the Baltimore City children and Nick has been here!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to his swim team practice on Thursday, visited a friend of mine with a pool yesterday and swim meet this am. This is Nick's first year with swim team and today was his 1ST meet. He came in 3rd for the freestyle and butterfly) ). He was disqualified in his best stroke, back, cause he flipped over at the last minute and disqualified in the breast stroke cause he didn't finish with both hands on the deck. He was so excited he really didn't care and he earned points for his team. He gets his ribbons on Wednesday.

Ok first off congrats to Nick!!!! Second off, uhm who is NICK?? Apparently I have missed something (well many things) along the way....

Having a jetted tub sounded so wonderful until I found out how nasty they can really be. I'd much rather have a regular ol' garden tub. The other downside of the jetted tub is that the water cools off so quickly. Now, if I had one with a heater on it maybe I'd be inclined to use to more & for a longer period of time. Then maybe it wouldn't get so nasty.

OOOhhh not mine. My tub stays nice and hot for a long time! I love my tub, I have been known to fall asleep in it....

DH grilled a molasses-marinated pork tenderloin tonight. It was YUMMY! I finally bought all of the ingredients to make a creme brulee. I'll try that tomorrow. I also bought a dessert wine to go with it.
