HA! Not anymore! When we used to have a satellite modem, it was out all of the time, thanks to dark, grey, cloudy, skies! But, now with a cable modem we're good to go!

So that explains all the extra posts. Maybe you need to go back to satellite! :rotfl:

A TOP with Ohiominnie. How exciting! ;)

7. Wine - sorry - still do not have the list but I wrote down the Banfi name as I could not believe my eyes. Will post that soon. They (ABC) had several from that vineyard. (Yes, forget the book exchange, do a wine exchange instead) :smooth:

....

Yes, now you are talking my language! :)

6. Books -Blind Book Exchange - we all bring a book on the Double Scoop and exchange - Good Idea - Bad Idea - Will this group play fair and bring a book they like - or the one that would not sell on E-Bay :confused3 Hum, a character test as well. :rotfl2:

(Yes, forget the book exchange, do a wine exchange instead) :smooth:

OK - all you book fiends, winos and foodees... wanna check out a few good wine books? Go to Amazon and do a search on Brian St. Pierre. He is a writer for Decanter magazine who has written some good books on wine and food... he is a dear friend of my mom's... they went to high school together, and still keep in touch after 50 years.

I resemble that remark! :earsgirl:

I think I may have given one of his books as a gift once or twice. Did not keep one for myself though. I by-passed the wine tasting context last night. Thought I was doing good by guessin white-white- hum -red -red- red
before the wine was poured. (ok the stained tablecloth did give it away). The hum was of course, a white. :rotfl:

Although Foodees is not a correctly spelled word :rotfl2: There are over 1200 google hits to the word, so we will let you have it - this time!

We could pull it off you know - but only for those who want to participate as we have some non-wine drinkers among us. And some who travel may need to be handicapped --- And we should exclude the drink of choice of this crew or it will not be fun. pirate: hum, will add this to the items to think about so it become cruise related and non-fluff. :cheer2: After all, that is on the list of must pack items, yes?

By the sound of it outside my office it is :umbrella: again! Wish I could send some of this to Stacey!

Hope all at WDW are :sunny:

 With all the double scoop "must pack" items - I just may come home with less than I started with for once!!!

A bit of a small crisis this afternoon - I'm sure Scoopie will post later - he's busy with Grandma and Maggie....Anyway, it came time to leave for the kids' dentist appointments. And no Scoopie. Maggie's in tears because she really wanted Scoopie to go with her to meet her dentist. He is wonderful with the kids. Scoopie must not like dentists, because we finally found Scoopie behind some of my exercise equipment. He knew I'd never find him there.... :rotfl2: He got to go to the dentist - and all is well - no cavities!!!

Actually, Foodees used to be a wonderful gourmet pizza restaurant in NH... and that's how they spelled it... hence, my spelling... :earboy2:

What about those of us who are #5-10? :confused3 I seem to remember some pretty close numbers in the rest of the top 10 - or at least until vacations started...
No, not leaving you out, just showing the world that I have happily dropped to 4th in the posts... don't want to be at the TOP of the 'blabbermouth' list...:rotfl2: (Tho' I doubt I'll drop to 5th anytime soon, unless Scuba goes on a posting rampage...)

Good to hear that things are okay Stace!
Mary, glad the min meet went well with G-ma Lightbulb.
Advice please....Taylor and I are going to WDW for Labor Day weekend, to take advantage of the free dining. Since we will have sit down meals, I have decided to try something new and I booked Spirit of Aloha. After reading the description on www.allearsnet.com I am not so thrilled with this choice. Has anyone done this and what were your thoughts? Can you reccomend your favorite dinner places?
Also, someone please remind me what all will be needed to get passports? I need to get on that, May will be here before I know it and I have 6 passports to get...sigh...
Also, I have invited my mom to go with us over Labor Day weekend, she said she would go (surprise on me, my mom is SOOO NOT into Disney)! But she asked me to help her find a good deal on airfare from Colorado Springs preferably, but if it is a big difference thant fron Denver. I never have to deal with airfare and when I go to travelocity and stuff it just seems like over $250 is such a rip off. Can you all school me here? Those of you who are expert airfare finders? ANd last but not least, can I borrow about hal a million dollars from you all so I can be Kikikaren's new neighbor??? If you start up a collection for me, I think it can be done!
Oh yeah, I thought of one more thing I wanted to ask you all, does anyone know the story of Myuki? ( candy lady in Japan?) At Ms Alicia's urging we took the time out to see her this last trip, and boy am I ever glad we did. She is amazing, and Aliciatink does an awesome impression of her! Anyways while we were there, there was a family there that said they were friends with her. They were not talking to me, so I was eavesdropping, but something about being only 1 of 3 people in the workd that can do that? Anyone have any more info?

I have no idea! But she is VERY amusing and entertaining to watch and listen to! I think Alicia has gotten at least a dozen specially made candies from her over the time we have been going. Yet another reason we love Epcot!!

WOW, look at that! A TOP shared with Amanda, Myuki (candy lady of Japan) and DD Alicia!! pirate: pirate:

Check cheaptickets.com. My parents will be flying from New Orleans to Denver in late July. We were able to find $238 for a direct/non-stop flight. It's not the best but considering we weren't seeing anything cheaper they did ok. My parents, being the procrastinators that they are, screwed up & missed out on $130 round trip in late May!!! There's another site farefacts.com that lists all fares that are out there without having to enter a date. But, what we found on cheaptickets was cheaper than anything that we saw on farefacts. They are flying frontier (I think). Their website was at least $100 more per person.

Hope you find something reasonable.

Hey Kevin,

You had asked the new folks about Lake Mary. My sister has lived there for 3 years now (it may be a few more - I lose track). They love it. The area where they bought is really being developed now. She mentioned the other day that their property values have really risen. That's about all I know. We have been to their house a couple of times. If you'd like more info on the area I could ask her.

Angie
