On the subject of scary movies; When we go to the theater and are watching the previews, DD never wants anything to do with the scary ones. She even hides her eyes on parts of the movies she wants to see it its scary!

I STILL don't like scary movies, commercials or trailers. I hide my eyes & close my ears whenever commercials for scary movies come on TV.

Me too - I stay away from the gorey slasher movie types...Even the "mind thriller types" Tried watching Sixth Sense on DVD and was so freaked out - I didn't last a 1/2 hr...Can't bring myself to get Silence of the Lambs either...

I can read them. Read Amityville Horror in my preteens and stayed up all night to finish - no problem there...Won't even think about watching the movie - something about actually seeing it on the screen - no thanks!

Sorry to disappoint you on the port - It was Sandleman's - actually, we by-passed that one. Some of the reds were high on my list (which I left at home) Will post these later....I am not a white fan, so no help there. DH is. He tastes the whites and tells me that I will prob. not like then, so I can save my taste buds for reds. Oh, and I wrote down a Banfi wine that caught my eye but at $58 per bottle, it is still in the store. More later.

Do you know the staterooom cat availability? We are planning to book through DVC. They wouldn't tell us until we were 100% ready. We were planning for a Cat 6 or possibly a 8/9.

Call back and pretend you are interested or call DCL with same question. Then just say no thanks at this time. I think they may be close to full and options are limited. The only way I could find our dates on Disney's cruise line was to go to Special Cruises, click Costa Maya and then see May 2006. The drop down menu does not work. The rates for cabins are posted. But you cannot seem to make an on-line reservation. So call-call-call. Hope this helps...

What Banfi was selling for $58? I bought a red Banfi wine at Sams and was not all that impressed. Maybe I should try it again.

Looking forward to your Red Update. I will have to watch for wine tasting at our local ABC.

I'm with Angie...I don't like scary movies, commercial or trailers either. I usually change the channel. My DH knows I don't like them either. He usually says, "Hmm, that would be a good movie for you". He loves me. What a kidder he is. I would have nightmares for days. I'm a sissy and not afraid to say it.

While I won't go to see a scary movie, I can deal with the trailers and commercials... the thing that I absolutely CAN'T handle, is at the beginning of 'flu shot season' every year, when they HAVE to show every senior citizen in FL getting their flu shot on the news. I simply cannot watch anyone (including myself) being stuck with a needle... totally turns my stomach!!!!

Ebay has a page called the "Ebay Pulse", which shows the Top 10 watched auctions. 8 out of 10 of those are usually this type of auction. This seems to be the goal of the folks that post this type of auction. If you go in and read one, they are talking about the number of watchers and the news articles etc. they have made. It's a publicity stunt, and a way to get 15 seconds of fame. I think people bid because if they win, they get in on the publicity too, some reporter will usually interview the winning bidder. I guess Ebay doesn't mind, more free publicity for them, but I wonder if they ever think about how it makes Ebay seem to the "outside world". Apparently, they don't worry about it. I always see new bidders on my auctions, lately a lot from Scandinavian countries.

Had another pre-cruise meet today. This time with Grandma Lightbulb (Mary) and her DH Butch. They are both so sweet and Karen - not to worry Butch was not wearing a dress.


I hope Grandma doesn't call and say she wants out of the cruise because she's afraid I'm going to try and sell her something. We did some shopping together and had a great time even if I couldn't get her to buy herself the golden mickey antenna topper.

I'm sure Ebay doesn't mind - If people wouldn't bid then there wouldn't be a market for the oddities auctions - I've only heard of them pulling auctions if it's in poor taste - other than that - they get their money if the auction closes regardless of the item..
