:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Friday!

TGIF! Sorry haven't been around as much. Things are busy at work and with the Member Cruise only 4 weeks away I've been real busy over on that thread as well and helping Mark with buttons and doing the mini-navigator for that cruise.

Anyone else have the Disney Visa? I saw that there is another offer for a movie screening of Valiant. I signed up for the one in Atlanta. It looks like they're doing it a little different this time. It is for any showing on Aug. 20 or 21 at the designated theater chain in your participating city.

So which would be the 'right' Publix? I am assuming that the 'wrong' Publix would be the one closest to us? I hate the one over by K-Mart, but will venture in there for Banfi if I must... I still haven't tried it!

I do, but haven't heard anything about Valiant yet... we just opened the account a few months ago, though... not sure how soon they start sending 'other' mail (besides bills)... either that, or Ray treated it as junk mail and tossed it before it made it in the door.

Kiki, you don't usually get stuff in the mail for these offers. You'd have to constantly check their website for the current offers. I usually find out about them by lurking on the Budget Board. Someone usually posts info over there.

It looks like it's being offered in the following FL areas: Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando & Tampa/St. Pete.

You forgot about Banfi - the official drink of the Double Scoop (at least it should be).

Freudiean slip on my part - you know I am partial to Iron Horse FairyTale Chanpagne instead :rotfl:

Banfi Rosa Regale

"A unique red sparkling wine. Sweet and appealing. Aromatic with a hint of rose petals and raspberries, best with chocolate, especially dark or bittersweet.”

We were introduced to this by the Tinks at last year's Wine and Food festival. Since than it has been on all our cruises and mini-meets. It is a great wine for sitting and sipping with friends, but don't forget the chocolate.

I found a locator on the web for where to find Banfi!

http://locator.banfi-hq.com/WineLocator/Default.aspx?BCode=010

Just change the All products using their click down to Rosa Regale. I found some local stores have been carrying it. I have been going to the wrong Publixs.

Also you can find it at ABC stores who offer a 10% discount on Thursdays BUT do not sell FairyTale as you can only get that at WDW.....and on the Cruise - The "real official drink",

:wave2: Happy Friday - Thunderstorms last night took out a transformer - our house alarm, the office alarm - blah - so no posting last night.

I will call in reservations at lunch time for Epcot - Rose and Crown for both Saturday and Sunday - Any changes, let me know.... :umbrella:

Bad rain, Bad....a cyclist was hit by lightening - trees on fire - bad - bad rain

Stacey, Vicki, and I are ready to go back next year sans kids. If any of our kids are reading this, I'm just joking! :) They certainly made it more entertaining!

Oh, sorry....but this is NOT a JOKE! I've had enough "quality time" with my kids this summer to last me for at least another year. And it got much worse after we all separated for the trip home and they had no one else to talk to......or pick on.

We had fun.....I'm exhausted....but it was fun. Note to self: No WDW in August.

Off to work.....will send Mary some pictures and add to Diana's great post sooner or later!

Welcome back, Stacey! Sounds like a long day yesterday, but at least you missed the 15,000 lightning strikes in the Orlando area.

If we have a ladies only trip back, we don't have to go in August! How about Food & Wine time? The weather's pretty nice later in October, or early November! Sounds like a trip for 2006. Too many people cruising this fall.

Please remind me where you live, Irene. How far south of Orlando? Wondering if the storms were down in the Keys too.

No posts from Scuba today. They must be on their way to Key Largo to join my crew.

Hi - we are about 2.5 miles south of Orlando and the radar last night was purple. I did not think it ever was worse than red, now I know.

For Labor Day Weekend, I PM'd those attending lunch on Saturday with the reservation number.

The best I could do for a group of 10 was at 12:30 at Rose and Crown. We'll be in France at noon and then saunter over to R/C to check in.

I also made reservations for Sunday, as that day was better for some, also at 12:30, but if you like that time could be moved if you would prefer 2:00 say.

Hopefully, I have matched the right numbers with the right days. Regardless, we will have fun. And a pint of Guiness to boot!!!!! :drinking1

Everyone have a good weekend......I hope my namesake in the Atlantic becomes a big puff ball and disappears! :cheer2:

Good Morning, All - while it's still morning in some parts of the world...

finished day 1 of pilates training - can really feel my upper back muscles - found some I hadn't used in awhile...ow ow...

kareoke for today - ties in previous conversations of teen idols, summer, and hurricanes....Just had to do a bit of Shaun Cassidy this a.m. - "Teen Dream"

Fresh out of school, flyin' grade
We were born into the heart of a going age
We had nothing to lose, nothing to fall
We had only to give and we gave it all
Caught in a hurricane, now we're getting the sce-e-ene

Baby, caught in a teen dream (teen dream)
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, oh yeah (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Too young to know-ow, to young to care
We we're riding on a dream and the love we share
So we played with our hearts, and mine and soul
Of a generation young, into rock 'n' roll
Caught in a hurricane, now we're getting the sce-e-ene

Baby, caught in a teen dream (teen dream)
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, oh yeah (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Another night's sensation, we'll try for an explanation
Sensation (sensation), yeah-yeah-yeah

Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, oh yeah (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, oh yeah (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Teen dream, teen dream
Wooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Thought this song is very appropriate for the crash and light happening outside......course there might be a hidden mickey (I mean meaning!)

If I had a penny
For each "Goodnight Irene,"
If I had me a dollar
For every hero I might've been,
If I had a million
For the one who got away,
I'd spend it all on Thunder and Lightning
That's all I've got to say...

Thunder she'll roll you and roll you and
Shake you to the bone.
There ain't no sky too dark
For Ol' Man Lightning
To point you the way back home.
It's in the heart of every man
Who lives on the railroad line.
And it's in the heart of a young girl cryin'
For her man to be on time.

If I'd hitch-hiked to the north woods,
She might've still been waitin'
There on her Daddy's farm.
But I hopped me a riverboat
And took in "The Game"
And the night blew a terrible storm.
The Game was as fast as a hurricane.
Lightning cut and Thunder rolled
And the band on board kept a playin' right on
Like they'd heard it all before.
The band on board kept a playin' right on
Like they'd seen it all before.

The dealer was the Devil,
‘Else how could he hold me so?
I tried to draw me the Red Queen
But I think he dealt me low.
If I'd raised him one more time,
Well, he might have let it go.
But his cards fell down with
A roll of Thunder
And Lightning lit up the hold.
And I left that boat at the dock at Taheka
Not knowing where to go.

Thunder she'll roll you and roll you and
Shake you to the bone.
There ain't no sky too dark
For Ol' Man Lightning
To point a man the way back home.
It's in the heart of every man
Who lives on the railroad tracks.
And it's in the heart of a young girl crying'
For her man to be comin' back.
It's in the heart of a young girl crying'
For her man to be comin' back.

If I had me a penny
For each "Goodnight Irene,"
If I had me a shiny round dollar
For every lover I might've been,
If I had a million
For the one who got away,
I'd spend it all on Thunder and Lightning -
That's all I've got to say.
Well, I'd spend it all on Thunder and Lightning
And I'd give it all, give it all, give it all away.
I spent it all on Thunder and Lightning
And I gave it all away... hey!

I'm home from the office....guess I should empty the suitcases.

On top of my continued state of confusion I am even more confused now. I had a call (at the office!) from DCL....they said that I had put in a request for any "special" cruises in 2006.....I DID fax a request for summer of 2007.....anyway, they called about the new 10 and 11 night Wonder trips....did I want to go?? Well, YEAH! BUT......it's in September, the kids are in school, and the only way I could do that would be if I cancelled the December '06....and put the money from that one onto the September. Kind of too many "buts" in there. Tempting, though.....Barbados and St Kitt. Wow.

I'm still trying to figure out when I put in a request for anything special in 2006. :confused3

I guess I should be really happy that we got out of Orlando when we did. And glad that we weren't trying to get home on Tuesday. Apparently, we had one of the worst storms here that we've had in a long time. Lots of trees down, signs in town blown away, the creek was flooded again......:boat: And Jay said we were without power here from 7 pm Tuesday night until early Wednesday morning.

Guess I'll go unpack. Or take a nap. ;)

I guess that means that you are no longer dodging the fires? :confused3 Is that yet another case of 'choose your poison'?

Hey... just noticed this guy... :pug: ...he's cute!

I vote for taking a nap, after all the suitcase will wait. You'll just have to do laundry when you take it out of the suitcase.

We are also wet - perhaps we had more lightening than they did at WDW.

I checked out the special 10 and 11 day cruises but September, when you live in FL - will not work for us, must be home to board up house, fill bathtub with water, bring all outside stuff, including orchids and frogs that live in orchids inside the house, sweat with no electricty for 2 weeks, mop up floor, entertain mother, whose house has no electricty, clean fridge, clean freezer, cut down trees, put up fence, argue with phone company, .....

hum, how about up shutters and take a cruise - oh yeah, the Animal Control Department would not appreciate us boarding up the critters for 2 weeks.

Sigh, at least I can dream, :cloud9:

I like the new smilies....as soon as I saw this one :pug: , I thought of your name!

Yes, it's definitely "choose your poison". No more fires, but we'll go through about a month (sometimes even throughout the fall) of rain and flooding. From the looks of things, the one this week was a real doozie!
