XLT says that the only reason I work is because of my "cruise addiction".

We took our first cruise in 6/2001......then another in 10/2003....and another in 5/2004. That led to 10/2004 and 6/2005. The only thing that keeps me going is 5/2006 and 10/2006. Do you think I need prof. help?????
Fran

Not really, I think you coud "teach" some of us a thing or two about cruising!

I'm addicted after only once! :wave2:

OH yeah Kevin or Jim, the GPS thing....I am very happy with it, but I am notciing that half the time, when I get to my destination( i have been experimenting) that it tells me the wrong side of the street. IE" Final destination on the right" when in all actuality it is on the left or vice versa. This is not everytime, only half the time. ANd another weird thing, I went to walmart the 1st night we got it, and i typed in walmart and it did not have one listed for Columbus the closest one was Atlanta? ANy ideas for me big fellas?? I went with the Garmin because I have heard it is better than the Magellan....

Mmmmmm - could you be holding it upside down....or maybe you are standing on your head? Don't tel us you need L and R on your shoes, per-chance.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Enjoy!

Amanda - Good Job looking for the lost sheep on this thread. I hope they are planning for cruise and all is well.

Come Back - Come Back...we miss you!!!!

Ok, I've got a weight loss program for you. Have surgery like me! :rotfl2: I started reading a book last night on scoliosis surgery. I was worried that having to be somewhat sedentary after surgery would cause me to put on the lbs. but now I'm reading that having surgery will likely cause you to lose weight.

Staying home today. Not sure if I have some kind of stomach bug or what.

Mary... hope you didn't catch the bug that I had this weekend :rotfl: ... on this board we seem to be susceptible to other 'iillnesses' that we share, like an aversion to laundry, an addition to DIS'ing, and compulsive cruise planning, so why not?

Here's hoping that you're feeling better!

Hoping to get enough done early in the day so that I can go watch the launch from the rooftop of Ray's "office".

Kevin, Big News! Speigel Grove is now right side up! :Pinking

Dennis turned it right side up this weekend, something no one else was able to do. They have closed it to diving for a few days to check stability and put on new mooring balls. It will really be a great dive. We now have to dive it in August.
I KNOW!! Posted that, mmmm, maybe eight pages back. You must have been in Ft. Lauderdale.

I love it! Makes the up coming trip to Key Largo even more enticing! :cloud9:

Thanks for the good wishes guys. Just a really sour stomach and not much sleep. I'll be fine.

That happens to me sometimes as well. Not sure why, they say the device has accuracy to 3 meters, but it still pretty far up to the satellites and back.

On the Walmart thing, you need to refine your "find" search to a specific city or state it will do better. Sometimes the place you're looking for isn't listed. Might be because the business has not registered or it's newer than the map. I'll look into the calibrating issue for you/us and see if there is an answer.

DH has a handheld one. I can't remember if it's Magellan or Garmin but think it's Garmin. When he got it the maps were out of date for out area by as much as 3 years! I'm pretty sure he hooked it to the computer & downloaded new maps.

Good Morning, Everyone! It's a beautiful morning in Houston - :sunny: hopefully, the weather is just as beautiful at the Cape for the shuttle launch 3:51 EST...It's blue ribbon day, there are blue ribbons everywhere for return to flight!

Please keep NASA's employees and families in your thoughts and prayers, including the families of the Challenger and Columbia crews!

Good luck Fran! Oh, but your not checking the boards, right??? ;) Too bad your DH is "on board" or your secret would be safe with us!

Fran, we haven't told you about the downside of having your spouse on the thread with you! Right, hon?

Waiting for all the first hand accounts of the launch. There are some advantages to living in FL, in spite of the hurricanes!

It's not so bad. You just can't make up outrageous stories just to impress your friends. OR, use bad grammar or mis-spell words.........

What's for dinner, hon?? :rotfl2:

A little spoiled....I am watching NASA TV in real player on my office computer - while talking to Dis Buddies. Presently the focus is on a van that is taking the astronauts - I presume - to the Shuttle.

DH and I grew up in Florida and I am excited at every launch. Wish I were closer.

God Speed! :sunny: :sunny:
