For those planning a trip to WDW this summer, here's a recent notice from the newspaper there:

--NOTICE--

Travel to Florida
The Florida State Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for alligators while in Osceola, Polk, Manatee, Orange and DadeCounties. They advise people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to
alert but not startle the alligators unexpectedly.
They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with an alligator.
It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of alligator activity.
People should recognize the difference between small young alligator and large adult alligator droppings.
Young alligator droppings are smaller and contain fish bones and possibly bird feathers.
Adult alligators droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

Speaking of catfish, and other biting fish...

While you're there with the catfish- how about some "okie noodling"

www.okienoodling.com

This film appeared on PBS a while ago - during a fund drive - yep, must be a redneck thang...The sad part is - John and I sat and watched the whole thing...

Catfish catching w/bare hands crawling around in swamps and ponds..oh yeah, there's a sport for me....
OK the really bad and sick part of my wants to comment about a bunch of men rolling around with a wet slippery thing, but the adult part of me knows I should not do so on a family board......;)

Ok guys - I've been playing around with a possible design for the back of the shirts. What do you think?

cone.jpg

I think we would have to go with less colors. If I remember correctly we could only use 4 colors on the back. This is just for a quick show.

I'm thinking we could go with rounded text over the top saying

Double Scoop Group

and then rounded text across the bottom with the dates

May 27 - June 3, 2006

I'm sure there are other design ideas out there, but I thought I'd get us thinking of designs.

Hey Mary, I like that! And on the front where our names go, they could be inside "drips" . ;) Teasing about the drips, we aren't drips....well, maybe I am.......

But I do like the cone!!

:rotfl2: geez now, where did I put the windex - memo to self - NEVER have a drink while you're reading the updates on this thread...

Mary - I like the design - definitely a good idea.....

Looks great!!! If we have to go w/less colors - maybe "vanilla" for Cozumel and Costa Maya and "strawberry" for both C.C. - it is a double scoop after all!!! :worship: Thanks for coming up with a great idea!!!

That's a great idea especially since Cozumel is known for it's vanilla. Like I said just a concept right now. Don't want to step on any toes and if anyone else has ideas I'd love to see them.

Matt and I are back from Devil's Den. Had a great time and feed the catfish.

We could only come up with one idea on what to do with the catfish after we feed him.

We ate him.

Sorry, we could not find Jaws.

Very true Stacey! Wonder if Scuba Matt will be posting the morning we leave for the port again. :)

You can count on it, assuming we are not camping in the parking lot.

Mary, Matt will want two cones on his shirt. :rotfl2:

Amanda,

I was just looking back at some of the initial posts about who was going on this cruise. It seems there are quite a few that haven't had posts in a long time. Do we know if any of them have backed out? Just curious, Hey, we haven't seen any of your rooming lists in a while, maybe it is time to post another one??

Pam

Love the ice cream idea! My SIL & BIL own their own graphic design company... I'm sure I could get her to 'professionalize' any idea that we come up with... (check out www.studioadesign.com) Thanks for all the b-day wishes for Ray... (he knows VERY little about the existence of this thread... thinks I'm crazy... so I'll pass along the wishes later... like when we're in WDW at the beginning of June, and he realizes that some of you DO exist...)

I took him to Tchoup Chop for dinner tonight... it was great! Desert special of the day was to die for... banana upside down cake with caramel sauce & pralines. Yum!!!
