I better not show this to Matt. We are planning on feeding the fish at Devil's Den today. They are only catfish, but the biggest I have every seen.
Have fun!

We are going out next weekend. Got a class that I'm helping with, plus Alicia is "finally" finishing up her advanced class. So we'll be gone Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Say hello to the catfish for me!!

I can see the scenario now:

Me; looking around while diving.........

Others; "What are you looking for?"

Me; "Jaws"

Others; ..........what others! :earseek:

Sandi! You're short one "family member".......got room for two daughters, one son, and a son-in-law???? Granted, they won't fit in a Beta bowl......

What??? you can't blame a gal for trying!
Well, we do have a barn, although is is a bit drafty and about to fall over...Did you say that you were willing to pay for 'farming' them out? My cruise isn't paid for, yet.:scratchin

Speaking of catfish, and other biting fish...

While you're there with the catfish- how about some "okie noodling"

www.okienoodling.com

This film appeared on PBS a while ago - during a fund drive - yep, must be a redneck thang...The sad part is - John and I sat and watched the whole thing...

Catfish catching w/bare hands crawling around in swamps and ponds..oh yeah, there's a sport for me....

I feel like I've been gone on a trip! Well, it was a trip, Rio Rancho is pretty far.

Boards were down, then got tied up with a dance comp. The team did OK, Alicia was awarded a Gold for her solo dance, which was exciting! And they got a special award for "most innovative lift", which some of you may remember. I explained it a while back. The female dancer involved was very happy, and said it was worth the bruises and floor burns.

My comment on the shirts is that they used men's shirts for everyone, at least for the polo shirts. It would be nice if we could have some t-shirts that are cut for women. You know, a little smaller at the shoulders and a little more forgiving at the bottom.

Stacey, what did your kids DO?

For those planning a trip to WDW this summer, here's a recent notice from the newspaper there:

--NOTICE--
Travel to Florida
The Florida State Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for alligators while in Osceola, Polk, Manatee, Orange and Dade Counties. They advise people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to
alert but not startle the alligators unexpectedly.
They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with an alligator.
It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of alligator activity.
People should recognize the difference between small young alligator and large adult alligator droppings.
Young alligator droppings are smaller and contain fish bones and possibly bird feathers.
Adult alligators droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

Watched the trailer. The last quote kind of sums it up: (said with your best southern drawl) "When you catch a fish in the river, your human instincts are gone. You're not a human anymore, you're an animal!"

Yeehaww!!! Now that there's a bunch of FUN!!

animal control was out yesterday a block away from us by the bayou - another gator was seen roaming on it's way into the subdivision...
