Happy Tuesday!

Looks to be another beautiful day here - at least until late afternoon when the storms are due.

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks. We really like it. Although it's very small for a master bath by today's standards. No room to knock out walls and make it bigger without giving up our main bath!

We didn't get real wood casing (gasp) I think it's some sort of plastic prefinished stuff. Will finish nails work well on that? (here I am asking more questions!)
Wood has more holding power, but the plastic stuff won't deteriorate with moisture, so it's all good. Sure, the plastic stuff will hold with nails. Put a small bead of clear silicone under it when it's installed. The silicone is an excellent adhesive and the clear won't be as obnoxious if it oozes out.

Kevin, I hope you know I was just having fun with you!!

Of course! I wouldn't have it any other way.

now get back to work! :rotfl:

Wow, there for a minute I thought you had peeked in on my life. But you lost me on the "REAL" job part. Guess I *should* have time to exercise.

Karen - I think being a home-school teacher does constitute a "real" job.

Sorry...had to come back.....Okay ladies, band together now....and you, too Mr. Scuba for being so nice......I think we would have plenty of time to excercise IF:
We didn't do the laundry
We didn't cook dinner, serve it, and clean up while DH is watching TV
We didn't bathe the children (for those with little ones)
We didn't clean the house
We didn't run errands for the kids and the "busy" Dh's
We didn't do ALL of the household shopping (No one ever reminds me when we need toothpaste, toilet paper, DH's special shampoo....somehow I just KNOW these things, and they get magically replaced!)
We didn't keep the checkbook
We didn't pay all the bills
We didn't organize the kids' schedules
We didn't run the kids all over town to their activities
We didn't have a "REAL" job on top of all this

Okay, I feel better now............slinking away...........

I do most of the above, but Jim certainly helps with the chaos! He does all of the "major" cooking - I am the support staff there. He handles the pool, cars, and outdoor chores and he helps with running the kids we I can't. But also, he allows me to "feed" my disney addiction by having seasonal passes to WDW, cruising when possible, and supporting my major "vice" in life - allowing my children to have experiences and opportunities that I would have loved to have had, etc. On the other hand, he isn't suffering - he takes cooking classes, goes diving, etc. As was said earlier - it's all good.

But I am suffering. Can't you feel my pain? I haven't been diving for a week! And then it was only at a spring.....not the Bahamas!

A nice liveaboard dive trip would ease my pain. :rotfl2:

Hmm... sounds like you need a medical professional to write you an Rx...

Gotta admit, you definitely have a "certain style" about you!! :teeth:

Hey Honey, I'll take TWO of what He's having........

Hey OhioMickey, can you help me out here? :Pinkbounc
If he can't, I'm sure OhioMinnie can tell you who told HIM that he can't do anything strenuous for a year... if he can tell a guy THAT with a straight face, I'm sure he can set you up with a diveboat vacation!!!

Hi Everybody. Here is it Tuesday night and I feel like it should be Thursday. The remodeling is moving along, but we added a few things more than we probably should. We still have some stuff to buy, and carpet to put in and I think we have probably over spent what we initially had planned on.

Of course, all of these extras started after we had already decided to go on to WDW this summer and I had an outlay of $$ for that too. I am counting down the days (48) at work and everyone thinks I am crazy,

My family definitely does not understand why we would go to WDW in June, again in December and then again next June (have to make good use of those AP's)

Good news came today. Ashley passed the 5th grade Math TAKS test (mandatory state testing to move on to 6th grade) We had been sweating it not sure if she passed or not. She had already passed the Reading test. We were getting her tutoring with the other Math teacher and her grades had improved. Once the tutoring with this teacher stopped, her grade plummeted. Needless to say, hubby went to school yesterday and we got her moved into this class, even if there is only 5 weeks of school left. Definitely want her to end school on a strong note, not a weak one.
That is my exciting news today. She was doing the happy dance. :dancer:

Pam

Pam...your happy dance was also a "TOP". Way to go!

I'm sorry that I'm hit or miss on messages, but a huge THANKS to Mary for updating the group list. I was so excited to see my families picture. And another THANKS to all the mothers of those '94 DD's. I know that my '94 DS will be very happy about his group of friends for the cruise. He will have some competition for the girls with Michael and Caleb. But it looks like those 11 year old's will be well represented on the ship. Hopefully the rest of them like the club as much as Jake does. I like it when they spend most of their free time supervised. I'm having lots of trouble waiting until next year. I very jealous of those of you doing earlier cruises. :sad2:

Thanks again Mary!

Susan - it was a pleasure to add you and your family. Thanks for being patient while I got the computer fixed. Sounds like we're going to have a great group of 11 year olds on the cruise. I hope those that know about the cruise will start exchaning e-mails. It worked great on our 10 day with many of the kids getting to know each other before they sailed.

Susan,

Our friends that are going with us on the cruise also have a DD age 11. The mom's name is also Susan. The girls are in two dance classes a week together and also are on the same swim team with practices 5 x a week. Her and her husband are both military and they will be relocating after the cruise next summer, so this will be the girls last big hurrah together before they move. I am sure they will love having so many girls and boys their age on this cruise.

Pam

I have a '93 son who might be happy to see so many '94 girls on the ship. Not to worry, he thinks they're cute....but from a distance!

Happy Wednesday!

Just couldn't sleep so I'm up posting in Mr. Scuba's time slot. :)

It's a nice treat to start the morning with Mary's Good Morning! Normally I catch it at lunch time.

I'm finding it really difficult not to tell my '94 DS, Caleb, about the cruise, yet. We weren't going to tell him until we got to the port, but I see now that we'll need to break the news earlier than that. He said the only thing he didn't like about our first cruise was the fact that he didn't have any friends to hang out with. He did enjoy his time in the club, though. So I'm dying to tell him about all of the other '94's.:cool1: He's never had an e-pal (or a penpal for that matter). We've had the most perfect weather here for the past week. I've been spending time outside and only lurking on the boards instead of taking time to post. I do enjoy all of the friendly banter that's been going back and forth...:teeth:

DS also struggled in math last year and the beginning of this year. We put him in Sylvan until he got caught up. What a difference that made. I don't know how they did it, but it worked (we could be one of those commercials). It made the whole 4th grade experience much better.
Congrats to Ashley and Mike!
