You go! Jim.

Sounds like these "girls" need a spanking!! Or, at least sent to bed without their supper......

BTW, I laughed good at both of those! Dysfunctional, AND funny!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Susan and welcome aboard. Looks like we will be neighbors (Cabin 7503). Your son and my daughter are also close in age. Her BD is 9/1/94.

It will be the invasion of the "1994" DD's. There are at least three more than the two listed above - KT, Lisa, & Lauren.

That's a phrase you will never hear at my house.

Hey wait - I thought I heard you say we both needed to lose weight this morning. You told me we had to start walking again ( and I love to sleep!!!) I know you are right, I just hate to admit it. Well, back to my salad.

Count mine in... 2/28/94... hmm... that was a busy year for baby girls, wasn't it??? (Mine is a 'souvenir' of the "Big Red Boat"... to this day, that DCL commercial cracks me up to no end!!!)

Wow, doesn't THAT sound familiar!!!! DH works out after I leave in the AM, as he doesn't start work til later, and wonders why I can't find the time to work out. I had been good about getting back on my bike for two weeks or so, til this non-stop Ny-quil binge started last week. Guess I'll have to try to get back into it tonight after dinner... as long as its warm!!!

This sounds oooh too familiar to me too! Not that my DH is wanting me to lose weight, but just work out & get in shape. He doesn't know why I can't find the time to go the Y on the weekend. Hello! There's a week's worth of laundry and house cleaning to do! Not to mention that the girls would like Mommy to play with them. I'm too exhausted after a full day of work to do anything at night other than fix dinner & help get the girls ready for bed. He works out 3 mornings a week and runs some days during his lunch hour. I go workout the other 2 mornings but don't have enough time to get in 30 min. of cardio plus weights and get to work by 7:30. So my workouts suffer.

Sorry for the rant y'all ... can anyone tell that all of this TICKED me off this weekend ??!!!

Angie

It's always a challange to find the time to work out. BUT, it's for you! So just set up the time and do it. Don't just "find" time, it will never work out.

And smile, it's a good thing!

I have had a Y membership since we moved here (my kids are in their summer program)... yet I haven't even set foot in there to get my ID photo taken. I complain that I have gained weight since we moved here, yet DH doesn't want to hear it, cause I don't do anything about it (he's right...)

He just informed me that he ordered a new BowFlex, as ours has been recalled by the manufacturer... they'll give us partial credit towards a new one... I HATE that thing- he tried to get me to use it before- after 2 days I was BORED OUT OF MY MIND!!!!! I am sure the new one won't be any better!! I think we have the only one in existence that gets used as more than just a clothes hanger.

Stationary bike bores me too... I've gotta get on the REAL bike and SEE something while I'm riding!!! I had been trying to ride every night after dinner. Maybe now that I've said that I'm going to ride tonight, I'll actually do it.

Yeah, I hear ya. Putting a TV and DVD player in front of the treadmill has helped. Dh liked walking while watching the Seinfeld DVD's. Well, until his eye surgery when he was told not to exercise for awhile...
or to lift anything more than 5 pounds for year....
and not to vacuum for a year....
and not to stoop over to pick up the trash from the trash can....
and not to....

I'M CALLING HIS DOCTOR!!!

Hmmm... sounds like "professional courtesy" gone a bit too far???? :confused3

Watching TV didn't help... I was so bored with the BowFlex that I couldn't even remember what it was I was supposed to DO every day. I find the only thing that works for me is actually getting on the bike and riding (I usually do a couple laps of our sub-division, Scuba's sub-division, and the one next to it), or pop in a pilates or walking video... other than that, forget it.

Woo-hoo... post #4500... you KNOW how I like those round numbers!!
