:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just upgraded Jordan's phone and my phone, free. She got the White "Chocolate" and I got the Mint "Chocolate" (think DIS lime green).
Jared will get to upgrade his this fall, when I get the newer version Treo. It is a pretty cool deal.

What company do you have your service through that you get to upgrade for free? Or do have a maintenance agreement that allows you to do that? We can change phones every 2 years when we renew our contract with Verizon. But of course the phones that are "free" are not the ones we want. :sad2:

I'm happy with my Treo. And I get to upgrade it for free in October.

There was a good story on the news last night about how people who have a Treo or a Blackjack (which is what I have) have a ton more functionality and a much higher connection speed than the iPhone... the iPhone is not compatible with network server-based e-mail (like Outlook... which is what the vast majority of companies use)... so it certainly won't be very productive... it may LOOK pretty, but that would be useless for me! It's not THAT inconvenient to have a PDA AND an iPod... (though I could use my Blackjack as an MP3, I choose not to.)

They said that the connection speed is about that of DIAL-UP!!!!!! Definitely not for impatient people like me!!! I love my 3G!!!!

We had people waiting outside the stores LAST NIGHT to get these. And they said on the news that the phones are hard to "get used to" at first. If I got frustrated with it, I'd probably break it. Not that I've been known to do that before. :rolleyes1

It's Verizon's New Every Two. And yes, there are some nice ones that we'd have to pay extra for, but luckily we liked the Chocolate phones and they weren't extra. I won't have to pay extra for the newer Treo either, because they have some other similar palm device that's supposed to be the "latest and greatest" and they hope everyone will want that instead. I'm sticking with what I'm used to. It works for me whenever I've needed it to.

Jay makes gruel. The kids love it.
It's what they've always called Chex Mix. I have no idea why they call it gruel.
:confused3

But before I do, does anyone know the thread that spoke about the two new Disney Ships...

is it still active?

The longest thread they had about the new ships started on the Rumor Board, and it's been closed.

Anyone ever hear of this happening?......Jordan left her iPod in the glovebox of the car, not out in the open sun. The screen looks like it's cracked, but if you feel it, it isn't cracked. Someone told her that the heat "melts" the screen and makes it look like that.
I told her it was not so smart of her to leave it in the car in the first place.

Thank you!

Jared wants to know where you saw that machine. We thought we'd hit everything in town yet somehow missed that....

The Ipod vending machine was in the Las Vegas Hilton. We were there to see The Star Trek Experience and the machine was right around the corner from that.

No iPhone for me - I'm barely into the 21st century with my current phone as it is - I don't even know my cel phone number. I just sent the kids on their bikes to a friend's house with the instruction to call me on my cel phone when they arrived because I'm leaving for work. The problem? I had to find my cel phone and call my friend's home number so her caller id could register the number. I don't know my number and I can't figure out how to find it on the phone. Pathetic, I know....

Although, having the iPod capability might ensure I carry it and have it on more... I'm always listening to my iPod..:thumbsup2

My criteria for a cel phone is that it be built like a tank, because I seem to drop it regularly. My current LG seems to be holding up pretty well. I think it does stuff that I don't use though. It does take pictures, I know, because Alicia put pictures on it for me. When a few people that I have pictures of call me, their face shows up on my phone. That's about as high tech as I get.

My phone let me get calls, make calls, and track the kids. That's it and about all I need. And all I want.

Since I spend all day sitting in front of a computer screen typing emails that is the last thing I want to do on a phone. :surfweb:

I'm shocked!! Everyone supposed to know that you're not supposed to leave your "pets" locked in the car when it's hot!!!!:scared1:

Some idiot left his 3 month old baby in the car yesterday. Critical condition, but improving.
Dad had been running errands, got home, went inside and realized later that he'd left the baby out there.
No big deal, it was only 111°

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I talked to Virgil last night at about 6:15. He was in line at the AT&T store in WV, We were in line at the Apple store in Columbus. So Mike and Virgil are the proud owners of iPhones. :) (I think we actually scored ours first though!) Talked to Virgil about 6:45 and we compared experiences. :)

And.....we made it on TWO news channels on the 11:00 news!!!!
