I do drink, but my limit these days is a little under two glasses of wine. So I'm thinking that event won't be for me either. I figure I've got a week (six days?) to work my way all the way around the World Showcase, maybe I can do that. I remember it took the three of us several days just to hit all the booths last time.

Well, the event is "tasting" and "sipping", not gulping, but still, there are potentially over 40 vinyards participating with multiple wine.....

We seem to take 3 days just to eat the regular food booths. I have tried and reported the year we had Scoopie, on our adventures.

I have tried various techniques to make sure I miss nothing.

Eat and drink right to left - day one. this results in making it about 1/3 of the way around.
Eat and drink left to right - yup about 1/3 the other way.
Eat and drink the middle - you would think it works out, but it doesn't.

Or, this appoach.

Eat all chicken offerings
Eat all veggie offerings
Eat all seafood offerings
Eat all desserts.

Still doesn't work and I skip red meat.

Or I tried this.

visit 1 - Drink all beers
Day 2 - drink all white wines
Day 3 - drink all red wines.

Nope that did not work either because each day I have to have Fairy Tale and well, there is only so much wine you can taste before a nap is required.

Granted, I am trying to do in 3 days what you are trying to do in 6 so......but even still.

Hum, why am I hungry again...

Read Dis = hunger???????:rolleyes1

Hey, Irene, you know how it is. You pay $150+ to go to an event, you want to get your moneys worth! I think we might try it one year when Kevin is along. He would make up for my lack of capacity. Plus, he would help me get back to the hotel!

I was thinking we will need to go see the Village People that weekend. Are they doing a show on Sunday, or is it someone else?

Here's the latest schedule I've seen:

October 22 - 25 - The Four Tops :yay:
October 26 - 27 - The Village People :yay:
October 28 - 30 - The Outlaws :confused3 (I don't know who they are!)

:woohoo:

Has anyone heard from Virgil? I just tried the link to his blog, and it didn't work. Asking because I was just reading a trip report from the transatlantic cruise, and it sounds not so great. Not the weather even, but the food was bad, and lots of new CMs. If it's like that for Virgil, he isn't going to be happy. Some friends here, a family we know from the dance studio, are going on one of the Med cruises. They may be on their way, not sure. It's their first Disney cruise.

Such a contrast to our cruise on the Wonder last September. Really, really good food, and great CMs.

I was on his site, literally, 2 minutes ago and it worked.

Well, your link worked. The one I tried from his post on the 27th didn't. Sounds like they are having a terrific time, that's good. And they got Sachin as a server! I'm pretty sure he's the same one we had on our first cruise in 2002, he's the best ever.

Speaking of pictures. I forgot that I took this one in Vegas for Karen (OM) and Virgil.

I am SOOO glad my son didn't find that machine in Vegas! He certainly checked out every game room in town.
We all did the NASCAR Experience virtual reality driving thing. Discovered I'm much more suited to Stock Car racing! I hit the wall a lot!

The weather didn't seem to be too terribly hot, and we were out in it quite a bit. Guess I'm just used to it.

Definitely good to be home for the rest of the summer, though.

Stacey, would you please edit your post before my kids see it? Matt only got a new Timex for his 17th birthday. They don't need to see what others are getting. :scared1:

And KT's birthday is coming up and she's getting......NOTHING! ;) She got her Kings Island/Cedar Point annual pass when we bought them in April with the understanding that THAT was for her birthday! That's all Nick got for his birthday, so we can't add anything to hers! Ya know, being FAIR parents and all!

We had told Christopher that we would take him to Kennedy Space Center for his birthday... which was May 1. Last night at dinner, he asked "Can I PLEASE have my birthday present soon?" We just haven't had a completely free Saturday for all 4 of us since April... how sad is that! So yes, we told him that we WILL go... in 2 more weeks. Poor kid...

Stacey - why are you posting and not standing in line at the Apple store for the new (insert correct term) MAC Apple fone.

(heee - Hi Kikipug?)

I would, but you quoted me, so it wouldn't do any good.
Does it make a difference that neither Jordan or Jared got anything much for Christmas?

MAC SCHMACK! (I can get away with that, since Virgil isn't here)

I'm happy with my Treo. And I get to upgrade it for free in October.

Now THAT is something that you don't get with Apple.........

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just upgraded Jordan's phone and my phone, free. She got the White "Chocolate" and I got the Mint "Chocolate" (think DIS lime green).
Jared will get to upgrade his this fall, when I get the newer version Treo. It is a pretty cool deal.
