still running like crazy to get ready to go. good news is the kids finished up all of their pre-vacation school a day early (Nick) or two days early (KT) so at least I don't have to deal with that. but the cleaning, laundry, etc etc! ACK!

So if I don't get a chance to come back and say goodbye......see ya! :)

mom? Is that you????:lmao: I cleaned my room with a girlfriend on sr prom (no date, no ticket - at that point students couldn't go stag)

LOL Monica. I didn't even make it to my senior prom, graduated as a junior. I think most of the kids go in "groups" these days.

I'm pretty sure she's banking on me caving in.

You'll cave. I would. Make her at least do half of it....or something. My problem is that I can't stand to see the kids miss something....since I missed a lot of things and regret it.

I think I've told the story of my first car. 1974, early in my junior year of high school. My Dad was a Shriner, and he bought a 1974 white Corvette convertable to drive in the parades. The only time he needed it was on an occasional weekend, so I drove it all the rest of the time. We only had it a year, and then I went back to driving my Mom's Cutlass.

The first car I bought for myself was a 1977 Camaro. Someone had special ordered it and never came and got it. It was all colored-coded...aqua metallic, with white leather seats, but aqua steering wheel and dash. Sounds gross, but it was really pretty.

But I won't!! No cleany, no promy!! :sad2: :scared1:

Awww...come on, Dad! Just because your dance card was always full and you were a BMOC.......... You just don't understand. :sad2:

So what time should I pick you up at the airport for the room cleaning help service???:yay:

We could go out to dinner for Diana's B-day later!!

Alicia gets to drive tomorrow. The jury is out as to whether she gets to go to the Prom on Friday though. She has her ticket, plans with a group of friends (no dates, there is a 1:4 ratio of boys:girls at her school, remember?), and a dress. But she still hasn't cleaned her room. The countdown begins...

That's a deal I would never make with either Matt or Lisa. They would not go anywhere! :confused3

I feel like KikiPug today.

I'm getting ready to leave for a meeting/private function at SeaWorld. :cool1:

This could be one of the better assocation meetings I ever attend. At least they better not have chicken for dinner.

Well you don't think they'll serve FISH, do you???

You're mean. I hope they serve you chicken tonight.

Don't listen to him, Diana.

Better reread it, Stacey. Sounds to me like he's nicer than Kevin, he doesn't make them clean up their room to go somewhere! She cleaned up most of it. Enough to go, anyway. Truly she never would unless we take drastic measures.

That's right. I am nicer then Kevin!!! :cool1:

Okay, so it is taken out of context, but I'll take the compliment.

I'll post a picture of Matt's room so you can see what a messy room looks like.

But you already KNEW that!!

I'll see you Matt's messy room and raise you 2 - my kids!!! I shoveled out Mike's room yesterday and I got no farther than the doorway of Maggie's room...

Must have been at the 'Port of Call'... nice place for a meeting... their food is usually very good... I've never been served rubber chicken there.

Too bad neither of mine have a Prom to threaten them with. Their rooms are disasters. I used to go in and clean them, now I just shut the door. If they want to live like pigs, then that's their choice. But I don't go in and get their laundry any more either...they do their own or it doesn't get done.

Congrats to Alicia for getting it done....we'll want pictures! (not of the room...of Prom!)

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DIANA!!!
:cheer2:

Love you Hon!!

Aw shucks! Thanks for the wishes. I get my dinner and movie tonight, but I'm refusing to get older. If I don't get any presents today, the birthday doesn't count, right?

Yes, we agreed, no birthday presents this year. Way too many other things we've got to pay for right now. Who needs more baubles anyway? Now, a cruise, that might work.
