Pretty boring. But they wouldn't let us take pictures of Jay Leno, so I had to take a picture of something, after I drug the camera all the way up there. And I wasn't about to ask Mike Doss for a photo.

Well, it isn't me! I'm not having any more birthdays, I retired. Though I guess I wouldn't mind going out to dinner, and maybe to see Spidey.

Stacey, I think the Mercedes might be the definition of a hand me down car, did you see the part about 1981? And it's in my name. And she won't be driving it tomorrow, because she already broke rule #1: Call MOM when you get where you're going!

Love Alicia and Betty! Every first car has to have a name! I drove my parents '78 chevette - bright yellow 4 door hatchback - it was the "Twinkiemobile" - Story: One night 12 people piled in for ice cream - when we unloaded - it looked like a twinkie had been stepped on and the filling oozed out.

Couldn't get above 50 miles/hr in 4th gear...And I could spot it anywhere in the parking lot...

Happy (Belated) Birthday Sharon...

Great picture of Matt's prom date ---- ok, and Matt too, they make a cute couple.....Here is a challenge....who can find the pictures of their prom dates....huh, huh?

Love the car and the sunglasses...my first car was a Cadillac....then I had to work to pay for the gas, and, oh well...that was then....of course gas was 15 cents a galloon.....(yeah, right!)

Sorry, can't join in on missing mountains, I lived on the neighorhood hill...well, OK it was on 3 feet above ground, but it was above ground.

I think "Betty" looks great! So does Alicia. Sorry she lost privileges already. She was probably just excited and forgot, Mom. Betty didn't get her name from Ugly Betty, did she?? 'Cause she's not ugly!

I don't have any prom pictures. I went to two Christmas Proms, but no Junior/Senior Prom. Couldn't get a date.

Well... the 2008 dates are FINALLY out for NCL going to Bermuda... we want to take my parents for their 50th... we've been talking about it for at least 2 years... now they're telling us they don't want us to spend the $$, as my sister will have 2 in college and a wedding to pay for next year... got to try to convince them!!!!!!

Well... the 2008 dates are FINALLY out for NCL going to Bermuda... we want to take my parents for their 50th... we've been talking about it for at least 2 years... now they're telling us they don't want us to spend the $$, as my sister will have 2 in college and a wedding to pay for next year... got to try to convince them!!!!!!

You can take all of us instead if your parents don't want to go.

Happy Belated Birthday Sharon!

Congrats to Alicia on the car. My first car, that I shared with my sister, was a green Ford Grenada. Its nickname was the Kermit-mobile ... as in Kermit the Frog.

No junior or senior prom for me either ... my dad was the principal of our high school so no one EVER asked me out on a date.

Glad to see that everyone is still chatting. I've been busy with work & kids.

I bought a new one in Omaha. I think I got a good price on it. I love it....

I love that we got everyone thinking about their first cars. Nice stories. I drove my Mom's really old boat of a Cutlass until I graduated from college. At which point my Dad said he would give me $4000 for a car. Believe it or not, I found a new one for that money. It was a little boxy Fiat with no air conditioning and a stick shift.

What kind of laptop did you get, Stacey?

Alicia gets to drive tomorrow. The jury is out as to whether she gets to go to the Prom on Friday though. She has her ticket, plans with a group of friends (no dates, there is a 1:4 ratio of boys:girls at her school, remember?), and a dress. But she still hasn't cleaned her room. The countdown begins...
