I need prayers & pixie dust for a coworker. She got a call today at the office - her husband passed away. He was driving home from a business trip & had a heart attack and died. We are a small office so it hit us all hard. She is in her mid to upper 50s with 2 sons that are on their own now (mid 20s). Very sad.

Oh my, how horrible...:grouphug: prayers coming the way of the family and your office as we enter this Easter season.

This really reminds of what is important in life....

I think we should just start regulating when people can drive and when they can't. Like those with last names A-F can drive on Monday and Wednesday. Those G-P can drive on Tuesday and Friday. Q-Z on Thursday and Saturday. NO DRIVING ON SUNDAY!

Gotta love all these vocal global warming people who have private jets and use a ba-zillion times the electricity I do in my house telling US what to do to save the world. :sad2:

Help, I'm stuck at work and can't drive home!!!!!!

:grouphug: , Virgil. Thinking of you and your family today.

Jordan took off in the car all by herself today. Went to Target and Office Max...and stopped by the shop to get money from her dad. (Ha...now he has two of us doing that!)
I don't know how I'll stand this. I don't remember how long it was before I worried about Megan driving every single day. Some days, when I hear there's an accident anywhere close to where she may be driving, I still have to call her to make sure she's okay. :sad2:

Stacey -- I still get worried and Dale has been driving since last summer. They just got through performing a concert and clinic at the university. he ran home to change clothes, then was taking a friend home and they a bunch of them were getting together at one of the other kids' houses for games and pizza. I told him be home by 11. It just scares me to death for him to be out at night and I worry until he gets home. Now I know how my mom felt when I was in high school:confused3

The older my kids get, the more I feel sorry for my Mom. I may need to call her...just to apoligize.

Very sad about that little girl, OM. I wonder what happened to her? (please don't let it be a car accident!)

Dunno. Sad not matter what it was. :( It's scary b/c my kids are in Cleveland right now with my parents and they drive all over (to the movies, to the park, etc etc) *shudder*

I havn't seen it either - but did it mention anywhere that major industry is a huge part of the problem? They have these things that I think are called earned emissions credits, where if they participate in some kind of eco-friendly exercise they can ignore other epa rules, dumping really bad stuff into the environment?

The movie is pretty much about carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas levels, and how they directly cause global warming. He did spend some time debunking the cyclical theory. I guess taking on all of the environmental issues was too much for one movie.

You know, even if old Al is only half right in what he's saying, we're still in deep doo doo.

Ack! No way will Alicia be driving friends around for stuff for a long, long time! At least, I hope not! NM has a provisional license, they can't drive with more than one friend in the car for a year. I think most states have that, right?

Mike emailed me from work to tell me that he has a very very sick baby in the office. He has croup and is getting aerosols, epi aerosols, steroids and is probably going to be transported to Children's Hospital.

Then he drops the bomb and tells me it's our NEIGHBOR!

If you've got a moment, please say a prayer for baby Jack. :)

Thx!

Mike is home. Baby Jack went to the local hospital to be monitored and to wait for the transport team from Children's to come pick him up (he didn't want to put him in a private car and have him have problems en route)

So he'll go to Children's ER from there and then who knows what. Hopefully by then the steriods will kick in and he'll be able to come home late late tonight. If not he'll be admitted. I'm sure the ER will call Mike later with an update.

Thx for the prayers and pixiedust. :)

Prayers and PD for Baby Jack..... Please let us know OM!

Thanks for all of the PD - I made it throught the funeral today. We're spending the night here and then heading back to Charleston in the morning. Stopping by in Wheeling to let Frances and Lauren see our new house (they've only seen it only the net...)

Lots of P & PD were sent your way today... and all this past week... hope they helped.

Going to see the new house sounds like a great way to try to end a difficult trip on a positive note... here's hoping you make many great memories there!!!

Safe travels...

Good luck with that one! Trying to make two women happy with a house they only saw over the net is going to be a tough one. Glad it is not me. :lmao:
