After my canned response from DCL, I wrote back and asked if Alaska was ever requested by guests (since I know many ppl on my message boards have filled out the survey and requested Alaskan cruises) ...here's the response:

Dear Karen,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Over the years, our Guests have given us a variety of suggestions for
new destinations and new itineraries. Although Alaska has been a
popular request, regrettably it was not an option for 2008. Be sure to
watch our website for future itinerary announcements.

We look forward to sailing with you and your fellow Disney Fans soon!

Isn't there supposed to be a *big* announcement on January 24th? There's been speculation that the 3rd ship would be announced then. I know I shouldn't read threads with "rumors" but I just can't help myself!

Yes!! But now that you mention it, I will refresh his memory. And, do you remember when he jumped off the cliff at our neighbor's lakehouse this past summer? He ended up on his back for 3 weeks!! Now we don't want THAT happen again, do we?

That's the latest rumor - that the earliest the 3rd ship would be ready to go is 2010. Mexican Riviera itineraries in winter/Alaska in summer. That'd be awesome, but then I don't know if someone was wishful thinking or had a little inside info!! Stacey already faxed in her request for Alaska, guess we better get our's in too!

John made his on-stage debut last night as Mr. Brophy, one of the policemen in Arsenic and Old Lace. For someone who is more comfortable behind the soundboard than on-stage - he did a fine job! As soon as I figure out how to upload a few pictures - I'll get them posted.

If anyone is looking for something travel plans for May, 2007, here is what Matt and I picked.

May 27 through June 2
Whitewater, Montana - ZN Ranch
This is a real western experience, no electricity or telephones and we'll camp out in one spot all week. You'll actively participate driving cattle on a 29,000-acre ranch. We will be trailing 250 cow and calf pairs, which may also include branding and cutting. As an added event we will ride horseback to view the bucking horses. This is a trip for those who really want to rough it. Tents are required.
