Safe travels Gary. I would think the roads might be a little busy today with many people returning home.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Monday!

Monica - congrats on getting the last 2006 and the first 2007 post!
Never did make it to mid-night but that is just fine! Got lots accomplished yesterday. All the Christmas decorations are put away and I finished up all the work I needed to do on the circle journal from the 2006 Member Cruise. We start circulating them next week.

Best wishes to everyone for 2007 - may it be the best year yet!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
:cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:
Hard to believe another year behind us. Hope everyone has a great year!

Time to wake up and face the New Year with DisBoards Friends......And time to catch up..:cutie: (Isn't this smilie a cutie?)

Anyway, Saturday Night was our (late) Boxing Day party - Sam outdid himself with the turkey and we had all the trimmings, this year all home made. It was too hot for a patio fire, we tried but most folk stayed in the coolness of the house, later I discovered the air was set to 67....

A good time was had by all and many nice presents exchanged. A highlight was a set of Minnie and Mickey Lennox ears for our wonderful tree.

Not sure what time the last guest left but it was close to 2:00 am, so yeserday was spent as a relaxing, PJ day....

No plans for New Year's Eve - poured a glass of champagne and walked around to toast the neighbors. Fireworks abounded at midnight.....Sam had to get up this morning to work (Bah Humbub on the Retail Stores that must be opened instead of letting staff spend the day with family).

And today, up (very) later, sitting with a Mimosa (thanks Jim) and catching up....Time for coffee now...:surfweb:

No official release date that I've heard of but the fact that they have stopped taking advance requests tells me it could be soon.

Thanks Mary, I was curious what it meant about the advance reservations when I saw that on the main page. I will sure be interested in what comes out.

Sounds like you had a great party!! Charley had to get up this morning and work also, so I know what you mean.

Hi all, we are able to get out today if we're in Kevin's 4WD truck. The sun is out, but there's still a lot of snow in our cul de sac. Kevin and Alicia went to see "Night at the Museum", I opted to stay home and get some work done.

We are invited to a party tonight, some of Alicia's friends. They have to bring a parent because the adults will be enjoying adult beverages. Since we prefer to stay home to enjoy our adult beverages, we are kind of hoping she forgets what night it is. Shhhh!

Diana -- good that you could at least get one of your vehicles out. Looks like your storm won't make it this far south. Wouldn't mind if it started today and lasted through tomorrow so I wouldn't have to go back to work (wahhhhhh).

Hi everyone,

Hopefully everyone had a nice holiday. I have read back a few pages but no way would I be able to read all the pages I missed. :scared:
I see that some of you have been hit with the snow. Like OhMinnie said, nothing forecasted in the weather for snow in the NorthEast for next week. Very weird. Global warming!! I just hope there's snow in Utah in the beginning of April cause we'll be there, hopefully skiing. I feel sorry for the people of Denver. Two weekends in a row.

Which ones of our group are on a cruise? I wish it was me. I was looking at a Royal Carribbean, shhhhh! Only a couple of weeks until DCL comes out with 2008, right? Any day now.....

Guess I better get going to bed now. Have my in-laws coming for our "Christmas dinner" tomorrow. They weren't able to come last weekend.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! party:

I hope everyone has a SAFE New Year's Eve.

REally 2008 dates soon.....wheee -- something to look forward to!!!!

Well, we had a pretty quiet New Years Eve here. We went out to dinner at Olive Garden with a gift card I had received. Dropped Dale off at his friend's for his New Year's Eve Party and then the three of us came home and played the new Here and Now Monopoly. Finished that about 10:30 and I stayed on the couch while Ashley watched TV.:happytv: She was determined to stay up until midnight. I woke up about 5 minutes before and stayed up until Dale got home. Very exciting NYE for us

Gosh - should have moved on to 'puter last night and post this countdown.

Jim - Your SPA day sounds sooooo neat....better than our PJ Day after our party.

KikiKaren - yup, way tooo hot for the firebowl....

I made duck soup for last night - quite good if I can say myself.

Bowl Games, when did they start playing them so late. I would be ready for THE game tonight....

Monica - your celebration sounds fun....

Mark/Mary - I did catch the game on the TV yesterday...(sorry about that...Miami lost also)....

Angie - hope you had a Great Time at you party....

Stacey/Virgil/GaRRy - are you home yet?

Mary/Mark - wanna come help with decorations. We do not normally take down ours until 12th night ..But this year, my helper will not be here (grrrr---) so not sure about the take down scheudle. The tree is so pretty, I wonder how it would look with Valentine hearts, Irish Shamrocks etc. I do hope to take down the outside deocations when Sam gets home today.

Dianna - how did your night go?

Safe Travels for All!!!!! Time to go watch the Rose Bowl PArade.

And today, up (very) later, sitting with a Mimosa (thanks Jim) and catching up....Time for coffee now...:surfweb:

You are welcome. Yesterday I had my first pedicure as part of our spa day. I loved drinking my mimosa while someone was rubbing my feet!!:woohoo:

We got to listen to all the fireworks in Kiki's neighborhood, bunch of rednecks. :lmao:

Oh yeah... all those 'rednecks' in Covendale with their $700K houses... between them and the 2 VCSO Deputies that live on our circle, they were the biggest offenders...

Actually, we made it til midnight- I was shocked!!! Our friends down the street decided to hang out with us, as we were all 'doing nothing'... but at 12:01, they were out the door, and I think we were in bed before they made it back to their own house...

Just finishing getting my parents room ready... they'll be here Wednesday, staying through mid-March. I really wish the kids were back in school tomorrow... they don't need another week off to drive each other crazy!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Happy New Year!!

We're home, and Virgil's family should be, too. We had beautiful weather to fly in, clear skies. Houston was gorgeous yesterday. We flew from NOLA to Houston and then Phoenix.
Garry's family was stopping in Georgia to visit Vicki's mom and then heading on....hope to hear from them soon.

I slept most of the way home, and even fell asleep driving home once. Jay wasn't too happy with that! Landed on the couch once we got the bags in, and woke up right at midnight before crawling to bed. I guess I must have been tired.

Along with all the thunder, rain and lightning on the ship the last night, we got struck by lightning! I don't think I've ever heard a boom so loud!
I did tell the Captain that if nothing else, we'd have some exciting stories to tell!
The ports were great, we didn't have the rain they'd had the week before. Long story that I'll let Garry tell, but he didn't get to dive. Not too happy about how that worked out.

I was the most surprised by the resort we went to in Guatemala....I would never have expected anything so nice in the middle of nowhere. It was called Amatique Bay Resort.
But the best was in Belize, at Bannister Island, it reminded us all of Castaway Cay. Without the Wonder or Magic....:sad1:

Interestingly, the warmest water was in Cozumel...and by far the clearest. I would have expected it to be warmer further south.
Costa Maya was nice, too, though....the water was chilly, but it was a nice day. The port was really crowded, there were 3 ships that day!

The boat that took us out to snorkel in Costa Maya got its anchor stuck in the reef and we had to go back and get another anchor and then they had to send another boat out to get the first anchor. Virgil and Jared helped them retrieve the anchor.
Yep....lots of excitement, if nothing else.

I really wish the kids were back in school tomorrow... they don't need another week off to drive each other crazy!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

My kids will agree with you....they would rather be at school.

Lisa has two projects to finish and works for me on Thursday.

Matt gets to run chores for Sharon and me.

They won't have any time to bug each other.
