Hey Kevin and Diana -- hope you survive all the snow. We haven't gotten any down this far yet, but temperatures have been dropping.

Thanks Pam! Just been putzing around the house today, clearing the snow off the driveway was the biggest chore. Not planning on going out yet.....:scared1:

Hi everyone,

Hopefully everyone had a nice holiday. I have read back a few pages but no way would I be able to read all the pages I missed. :scared:
I see that some of you have been hit with the snow. Like OhMinnie said, nothing forecasted in the weather for snow in the NorthEast for next week. Very weird. Global warming!! I just hope there's snow in Utah in the beginning of April cause we'll be there, hopefully skiing. I feel sorry for the people of Denver. Two weekends in a row.

Which ones of our group are on a cruise? I wish it was me. I was looking at a Royal Carribbean, shhhhh! Only a couple of weeks until DCL comes out with 2008, right? Any day now.....

Guess I better get going to bed now. Have my in-laws coming for our "Christmas dinner" tomorrow. They weren't able to come last weekend.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! party:

I hope everyone has a SAFE New Year's Eve.

Kevin - I love your pictures, especially the tree with the "orange" background. Love it!!!

Hi Guys!
Heading home tomorrow already....time flies!

Might just say this again.....IT AIN'T DISNEY!

Hopefully the weather cooperates, and we all make it safely. Say a prayer for the Goose family who has to drive back to Michigan.

Wow, D....snow! I hate to think what's going on with our creek!

Talk to you from home, have to go throw the bags outside the door.

It's been fun to spend this time with Virgil's family and Garry and Vicki, and my family.

Lots of thunder and lightning right now....heading into the mouth of the river.....

:wave2:

Garry just sat down....he says to say HAY!

We had another big winter storm yesterday and through the night. (Missed the last one because we were in WDW!!! )

anyhoo, here are a couple of pictures of the front of the house, I started to shovel, darn!! that snow is HEAVY!!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! :lmao:

Last night was the official kick off of the New Years Weekend.

Lisa, Sharon and I had dinner on the intercoastal followed by the Moscow Ballet "Nutcracker". Matt decided to stay at home. We had a great time and, it's difficult for me to admit, I even enjoyed it.

This morning Sharon and I are off to the spa. We have a full morning of spa treatments. We figured there might not be a better way to end the year then to have a hot stone massage.

And then we are home for the weekend. A quiet weekend watching bowl games, eating, and having a few adult beverages. Matt cooking prime rib for tonight. Lisa will cook crab legs for Monday.

This has been a great year for us. Lots of DIS meets and two cruises. I can only hope 2007 is just as good.

Your plans for New Years Eve?

Your plans for New Years Eve?

Probably sitting in the same chair that I'm in right now... no plans this year.

There's crab dip & shrimp in the fridge, and plenty of adult beverages... the neighborhood usually lights up in fireworks throughout the night...

Guess I should empty the rainwater out of the firebowl so we can have a fire tonight... though its not 'make a fire' weather!!! Thinking of going to the beach this afternoon.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

Good Morning All!

Wet and rainy the past few days. Dad has been faithfully watching WGN news hoping for snow in Chicago - (Sorry Mary and Mark) I guess then he will officially be a snowbird in Texas.

Our plans for this weekend? Today - taking down the Christmas tree and science projects. Tonight we're heading to the theatre group NYE party. Plenty of food and assorted beverages - as usual, we will probably only see New Year's in New Brunswick. I'm usually asleep on the couch by ten.

Tomorrow is our annual New Years Day celebration with football, food and friends. Depending on the bowl game lineups, we usually start around 3:00. Kids at one house with a babysitter and adults at another. Menu rarely varies. Gumbo made by a LA native & Natchitoches Meat Pies. Campechana (fresh seafood salsa) and Bread Pudding with Hard sauce....yum!!!

It's rainy & dreary here in GA. We're heading over to some friends' house tonight. We're actually going to stay the night so Bruce & I can both enjoy ourselves & have a few adult beverages. Even if one of us didn't drink, we didn't want to be on the road with all of the other people that have been. Will have to take a nap today if there is any chance of me actually being awake for midnight!

Monica, I cooked gumbo last night. Meat pies surely do sound yummy! I remember this conversation from years past.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Plans for today including putting away the rest of the Christmas decorations. Then a quiet night at home with my honey. No parties for us. Tomorrow will also be a quiet daya and we'll start the new year off with a surf (for Mark) and turf (for me) dinner.

Wishing a very Happy and Prosperous New Year to all my DIS friends!

why is it that the family is more than willing to help with putting up the decorations, but when it comes time to pack everything up - everyone disappears :confused3

Even my parents elected to return to their hotel after church... Mom decided walking on the treadmill was preferable to taking down decorations.

Happy Sunday everyone. Kids and I just got home from church. Charley is working today and tomorrow, so no big plans for us. Dale is going to a friend's house for a night of games. Charley, Ashley and I may go to the movies or something.

Hope everyone has a safe and prosperous new year.

P.S. Do we know if Disney has an official release date for the rest of 2008 cruises??

Thanks,

No official release date that I've heard of but the fact that they have stopped taking advance requests tells me it could be soon.

Hi all, we are able to get out today if we're in Kevin's 4WD truck. The sun is out, but there's still a lot of snow in our cul de sac. Kevin and Alicia went to see "Night at the Museum", I opted to stay home and get some work done.

We are invited to a party tonight, some of Alicia's friends. They have to bring a parent because the adults will be enjoying adult beverages. Since we prefer to stay home to enjoy our adult beverages, we are kind of hoping she forgets what night it is. Shhhh!

For us it is bed time. 10:00 PM is late enough. Midnight will come without us.

Sharon and I had a great day at the spa and lunch on the beach. Came home and watched Harry Porter. Built a fire on the deck while Matt cooked the prime rib. We got to listen to all the fireworks in Kiki's neighborhood, bunch of rednecks. :lmao:

Enjoy the midnight parties and make sure you tell us about them in the morning! :lmao:

Bedtime for us too! John and my dad will greet first 2007 sunrise on Galveston Bay fishing with a friend. Me, I'll still be sleeping!

party: Happy 2007!!! party:

Last post of 2006 and first of 2007 - I need to get a life - or go to sleep!!!
