Well Frances is taking Lauren to the Pittsburgh airport as she's flying to Houston for the weekend to see Kristin. By chance Jason is flying in from London for training outside of Dallas so he's actually flying to Dallas and then catching a flight to Houston to visit too. I hope that Kristin survives having both Lauren and Jason this weekend.

I'm stuck in Charleston working.....

LOOK OUT HOUSTON!!!! :scared1:

I booked our post-cruise stay for June and I booked what is now fast becoming the March Birthday Celebration stay at Disneyland. We'll be meeting up with a bunch of people who are going on the Panama Canal cruise during that March Disneyland trip.
I've put us back at the Grand Californian. That long walk at night back to the Disneyland Hotel nearly killed me!

Calling John to make reservations...

For anyone doing the June '08 Disneyland meet....I just read that the bookings were open for rooms. I'm going to the website to look for myself.

:badpc: argg, "We're too busy to process your request, try again later!!! :badpc:

We're looking at June 15-18... One day at each park and then a bonus day to do anything we missed or want to do again...Does three days sound feasible or too rushed? We haven't been to DL in 15 years...

The Grand Californian is closer to the parks?

The Grand Californian is basically IN California Adventure. The hotel has it's own private entrance to the park. And it's only steps from Disneyland Park. (the MK).
Virgil and I both booked the 15th to the 18th. We'll book a later flight out on the 18th to make use of the park pass that comes with that package.

I booked with AAA and saved $230, by the way.

And I think that's enough time to see everything. We'll pretty much plan on doing California Adventure on the 15th because Disneyland will be more crowded, then DLand on Monday, and probably again early Tuesday and move over to CA Tuesday afternoon. Yes, I'm a freak with a plan.....already.

We're doing DL end of September....Wanted to stay at the Grand Californian, but they were booked up (maybe it's just a DVC thing and the number of DVC rooms are limited) so we're staying at Paradise Pier (?) Mike planned FIVE days there. I kept telling him I thought it was too many, that probably 3, 4 at the most would be good. But what do I know?

I do know we're staying at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego (again, thanks DVC)

Paradise Pier is actually a bit closer walk than the DLand Hotel. You can go straight across the street, through the Grand Californian and enter California Adventure there, or cut through the GC's lobby and enter the MK. I might have some maps left over from our last trip, if I can find them, I'll send them to you.
Five days is cool if you'll have a car, because if you get tired of CA and the MK & DTD, you can go to Knott's Berry Farm, or out to Long Beach and tour the Queen Mary (very awesome!...especially the night-time Ghost Tour).
And you will absolutely LOVE the Del Coronado! It's the hotel that the Grand Floridian was modeled after, and it's gorgeous. There is a hallway downstairs that leads out to the pool and the ocean, and they have tons of pictures of all the famous people who have stayed their throughout it's history.
What a wonderful trip for your family!!

I know you answered Karen, but that also answers my question about which hotel to choose between DLH and PP... G.C. would be nice to be with y'all but we can use the extra money elsewhere!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MIKE & KAREN

Hi all, we are home. Trip was a success, much fun, nice resorts, wonderful meals. It rained every day, and the bus service at OKW is interesting to say the least. Southwest lost one bag, then found it so we got Special Delivery today. We tried Narcoosee's for the first time, very yummy lobster! Took one day off from the parks and went to see Hairspray, fun movie.

We were up very early to catch the ME shuttle at 5:50, that is 3:50 here. I think we will be going to bed soon. Have a wedding to attent in the morning. Bought ears for the bride and groom. The bride ears are also being sold as princess ears, they have white irridescent sequins.

Monica, so sorry to hear about your family loss.

Amanda, nice to hear from you! The new house (and pool) sound nice!

Kevin called from Key Largo tonight. Good diving today, weather is great down south!

Welcome Home, Diana!

Glad you guys had a good time and good weather....not to mention good food!!
