Congrats to Mike and Vigil on their iPhones. I rarely use my cell phone and really only have it for an emergency so I'm quite happy with the one I have.

Then Mike and Virgil will have to let us know if it's true that they're hard to use at first.
I don't wait in line for anything. Well, except the rides at WDW and DL.

The last time I waited for a store to open so that I could buy something was when Megan was little, and wanted a Cabbage Patch doll.:upsidedow

So now that we know Virgil is back home, safe and sound, maybe he'll finish his blog??

If I had internet at home I would - trying to finish it while I am here at work - but it's busy. Came home to find the cable modem wouldn't connect - Suddenlink hopefully will fix it on Monday - but Frances is not happy about not having internet access.

Lauren and I went to see Ratatouille last night. It was hilarious and quite fun. A little different than the normal Pixar movie - but quite good. Frances wanted to relax at home - but Lauren and I wanted to see it - and since I work all weekend - this was the only time to go.

Well, at least I got your attention, and you haven't forgotten about all of us! ;)

I want to see that movie, too. It looks cute. I can't decide, though, whether I'm insulted that they had to give us the pronunciation for "Ratatouille" or not.
:lmao:

2 more days posted on my blog.....

Thanks Virgil. It's all really interesting....can't wait to see more pictures. It looked so beautiful over there.

I think we still hold the record, though, at 43 hours for the trip home from Turks and Caicos.
And now I find that we could have flown American Airlines through Houston and Miami and probably avoided the trouble with the bad weather in Charlotte. Oh well.
I think I must have checked with American when I was making our flight arrangements....they must not have had what I needed (or price maybe) back then. At least now I'll know, if we ever go back.

I talked to Virgil last night at about 6:15. He was in line at the AT&T store in WV, We were in line at the Apple store in Columbus. So Mike and Virgil are the proud owners of iPhones. :) (I think we actually scored ours first though!) Talked to Virgil about 6:45 and we compared experiences. :)

And.....we made it on TWO news channels on the 11:00 news!!!!

Now that you have had them for 48 hours....what is the benefit of the iPhone?

Ummm... It's only been 24 hours... and I haven't been able to get on the internet to authorize mine.....

Review to follow..... sometime...

Hey, Virgil, did you get a picture of Sachin? I want to see if it's the same Sachin we had on our first Magic cruise in 2002.

Mike got his phone home last night around 7:30. Set it up, played with it, transferred over his phone numbers. Then around 9 the thing crashed and it wouldn't recognize our home wifi. Mike tried everything, resintalled firmware, reset everything, rebooted, etc etc etc. And nothing would work. Wouldn't recognize our wifi.
So he took it into the Genius bar today at the Apple Store and they gave him a new one (they would have tried everything he had tried, but since he had already tried it, they just exchanged)

He set up the new one and voila....works fine. :)

That's frustrating, but like anything else, I suppose there can be lemons. It's good that they had one they could give him. That must mean they didn't all sell out right away. There are dozens of them on eBay right now.

I hope to be able to post some pics tomorrow. I take it you like phanfare? I was thinking of using it.

So far the iPhone is awesome. Had to wait overnight for ATT to authorize it - but it works fine today. Even Frances is impressed and can use it. The user interface and the seamless transition from WiFi to cell is really neat. The "pinch" that you can do to expand or contract images is cool. Still playing - but I really think that Apple got it right.

.There's now holes in our family room wall. The remodeling snowball has begun to grow... :scared1:

At least I don't have to vacuum or mop floors for awhile..:rotfl2:

Congrats to Virgil and Mike on the iPhones!!!

Can't wait to see the Med!! Phanfare works fine, nice interface and they update things fairly often to make the best use of changing improvements. They have a free "try-it" period. Check it out!

Glad to hear the new iPhone is impressing you (I know that's hard.......)

Tell the "Tile man" that JUST the baseboards have to come off, NOT the walls..... :scared1:

Kevin (direct from John),

"Do I need a 4x12 or a 4x14 for an 11 ft header?" ;) (his plan for the wall changed once he tore into it...)

Kevin (from me),

How soon can you get here to rescue me???!!!

That is what you get for sending him out to take pictures with Kevin. They probably planned a whole house renovation during their trip! :guilty:
