Alicia was laying in bed the other day, I thought she was sick. She was listening to a Harry Potter podcast. So I guess there are those as well.

Yup, there are. I think the big one is something like "Mugglecast" ;)

Anybody want to speak English now? ;)

Pod= something to do with peas
Cast= worn on a broken arm or people in a play
Mac=good with cheese
Audible=I can hear it

And....it doesn't matter about opening the top, because I lost my patience with it and broke it. :sad2:

Why didn't you do what us guys do? We read the directions. :lmao:

I'm sure the directions explained how to open the top and change Mickey!

thought I could download some books on to it. Those books you can download are soooo expensive, though. I would rather read a book I picked up at Costco. Maybe when I'm old and can't see anything anymore...

And that is why I still use a tape recorder. Yes, I go to the library and pick up books on tapes. I use the tape recorder when running. It's just the easiest way to do it.

Yes, that makes me older then Stacey. At least she is using CDs. :scared1:

Here's a trivia quiz for you all. Who here recently posted on the WISH forums? It wasn't me. :lmao: Though I should. :guilty:

I didn't know you could do that. See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

90% of what I have on my iPod is from my CD collection... we must have at least 800 CD's... now, they sit in the closet in the office and collect dust, as all of the 'good' songs off of them are on our iPods... it took awhile to load them, but I'd just grab a few CD's a night while watching tv or whatever, and rip the songs that I wanted off of them. I really need a bigger one now, but, the new one was free, (and has a great company logo etched into it)... so I'll stick with it for now.

When I got my new truck in Feb, it came with a 6-CD changer... I put 6 CD's in it, and they've been there ever since... between XM and the output jack for my iPod, I don't think I've listened to any of them that are in there... and I've logged over 5000 miles since Feb, NEVER driving without music on.

Is that for one or two a month? You had your audible before us. You had your iPods before us. You had your Macs before us.....
and now you've corrupted us.
Btw, thanks. KT got her school computer about a week ago. Yes. Mac. ;)
And the Easter bunny brought them each a computer program from the Apple store.
It's like a bad addiction. ;)

That's for 2 books a month.......

It's not an addiction... it's a calling... a way of life.....;)

I don't think so.......

iPod - Download book from net - listen to book - download new book - and/or synch podcasts while sleeping - listen to podcasts while running..... saves gas......

Now this I understand....

guess you all have figured out that I am not part of the podcast generation.....Now 8 track tapes :rotfl2: and 78 rpm records:lmao:

Hey Jim - did you hear that the official marathon rules now ban I-Pods for competition????

(Heard that one on the NPR Wait-wait broacast - real time).

I love my xm for music and my cubs- Even though I do have my music on my ipod, it's mostly used for books on tape on the podcasts...

Unfortunately, my car is a sea of wires: telephone charger and xm cables which get pulled out to plug in my ipod...

Now, if Apple would just upgrade their phone to a satelite, ipod, pda combo - I'd think about it :lmao:

watched the pilot episode of Mission Impossible last night - the instructions came on a record, I had to make sure the kids knew what they were :rotfl2:

Headphones and ear buds have been banned for years for safety reasons. Need to hear cars coming.

But go to a race and see all the IPODS. The rules may not allow them, but everyone runs with them. :woohoo:

It wasn't me, either.:lmao: Though I should.:guilty:

I think it was someone really skinny! ;)

I DID do that. And it wouldn't budge. I even had Jared try it, because he of course, is the strongest one in the family. According to him, anyway.

I love that I have a regular electrical outlet in the console of my truck... I can use my regular iPod & phone chargers in there...

I have the new Blackjack phone, which has full mp3 capabilities, but I'm thinking that would run my battery down even faster than it already does... so I haven't messed with it. I need access to my e-mail and cellphone too badly to kill my batteries on music...
