Guess I pulled a "Jim" and stirred the pot on their trip report thread. I had said that I thought it was pretty special that they got so many nice gifts from DVC and DCL....that they must be very valuable to Disney.....but someone was quick to point out that they paid a TON in points to be there, blah blah blah.......
We all paid a ton to be on our special cruises. The Double Scoop, the 10 Night Christmas, the11 Night.......but still were lucky to get one pin or a t-shirt (that we had to buy). I still think the DVC Members are valuable to Disney, no matter what that other person thinks.
And if Mark and Mary aren't special and valuable to Disney, then they are to ME!

mickeymo said:I just happened to read that part too - I don't think you were stirring the pot - they did get unique gifts which aren't regularly given to guests. Disney could have just stuck with the totebag or beach towel but, instead chose to say "thank you" with the extras for their DVC members...Not that us non-DVC members aren't just as loyal and deserving...
Did they have to book with points for this cruise?

Opening night is officially tomorrow, yes. Tonight is final dress rehearsal and the director wants an audience.....so anyone who wants to come and watch the show FOR FREE is invited! He also invited some group of homeless kids from the shelter--apparently they do that with every final dress rehearsal, otherwise these kids never see plays.
The author will also be there tonight.![]()
justmestace said:I should have clarified....I wasn't trying to stir anything up. I was serious when I thought Disney was letting the Members know they were appreciated, by giving them such great gifts.
chip&dale&fun said:What a great idea for the director to invite the kids!!!!!!
Hope the dress rehearsal was (let me think) - BAD......isn't that the correct tradition - bad dress rehearsals - good opening night?????
