#1 - Not sure that works after you check out.

#2 - Not sure how you place a limit - per kid - on a card. I thought it was "per room".

But then Scuba is mean to his kids.....After all, how far does 50 cents go now adays.... :teeth:

:rotfl2:

No, after you check out, it wouldn't work. I'm wasn't thinking of it in terms of you guys who live there. Now the idea of the gift cards make sense, and seems like a great idea.
I used my Disney Rewards card at Downtown Disney the night before the cruise, and used it toward my onboard account.....that was nice. Nice to get something at DTD and have it seem like I wasn't paying for it!

Speaking of people who used to have more hair... though Ray was only 23 in this picture, and well on his way to being follically challenged.

I don't think it's how much you spend on a wedding - that's not the important part of the whole thing.

Ang
My gown was a bargain... my mom's friend owned a bridal shop and was going out of business about 2 weeks after I got engaged... (which was 2 and a half YEARS before I got married)... I stopped by her going-out-of-business sale 'just to look'... and ended up buying my gown for only $150... down from $900... during the next two years, I did find other gowns that I might have liked more... but certainly not for THAT kind of a deal!!!

I ended up booking my wedding reception 18 months early, as my uncle's sister was the wedding consultant for the hotel, and called me with a frantic phone call one day saying... "Rates are going up in 2 weeks... choose everything now, and I'm obligated to give you the current price"... worked for me!!!

Time for more pictures!

These two were in St John.....the Stitch was painted on the hood of a tour van, and this was a small shop we came across on our tour:

And these two were in Antigua:

We saw ruins of old windmills on almost every island. It's amazing that the stone has held up all these years. Most since the late 1700's.

Very pretty, Kiki.....you two haven't changed much at all! I love seeing these pictures!!

The rest of these (for now) are of St Kitts. The first one was as we were coming in to port. Gotta love all the color...and then the KFC right there. And the second one was a great example of how the ironwork holds up...at an old church, I think.

Just monkeying around!

Thanks. We never managed to get our wedding album... all I have is my proofs... we had both lost our jobs 6 weeks after our wedding... when we finally got around to trying to order our album about a year later, the photographer had gone out of business due to a messy divorce... and all the photos are copywritten. I have scanned a few and made larger prints, but they aren't great...

These last ones are of St Kitt's port area, which is just being built. I think there were, at the most, 6 to 8 stores open so far. Just behind me, in the monkey picture above, was an area of booths with local crafts. I found more to buy out there than I did in the actual port area. All that was at the port so far were jewelry stores and a couple of souvenir shops.

The pier area:

That's a shame! Is there maybe a small local photo shop who might take pity on you, and copy them?
Good thing we now have the option of scanning.

Call me confused about the cards for the kids.....but if you're staying at one of the resorts, can't they just charge what they want to the room??

Yes. But with the gift cards there is a limit. Room charges are seemingly unlimited. :)
We don't make the kids pay for their food or drinks. But any crap they want (souveniers, candy, etc) they get to cover. :)

Yes. Your room card works the entire day of checkout. Up until midnight, I believe.

This is the street outside the port area in St Kitts. We took a taxi tour on our own, and the drivers were waiting inside the pier area for us, and dropped us off back inside also. But we could walk through the area to get to the town....not that anyone would really want to all that badly.

And a picture you Member cruisers might want to use to blackmail your Cruise Director, Brent. I have several more, but all are probably blurry because I was laughing so hard.

My reply was going to be...I'd have to SCAN it....and #1, I'm not sure if we own a scanner and #2, if so, I wouldn't know how to use it....

but as I hit "reply" I thought....I could take a picture of a picture and post that. Will have to try that.....tomorrow. :) Although, my goodness, we look like BABIES in our wedding pictures!!!

Ok, Ok, I realized it wouldn't be THAT hard to post my picture tonight (the hardest part was avoiding the glare from the flash.) So here it is. We look like babies!

Behind us is the Jesus carving that hung from the ceiling of the sanctuary. My college roommate affectionately named it "Touchdown Jesus." Yes, she's a sports buff....actually has worked at ESPN for the last 10 yrs!

Don't even get me started on this b/c Mike told me (at the Apple store on the weekend) that he really neeeeedddssss an Apple so that he can look at his website and see how it looks to those who are using a Mac.

I said "pull your website up HERE and look." Duh. :lmao:
