Kevin - great to see you. We missed you! When are you going to show us some new fish pictures?

Hey, everyone. I've been lurking, but haven't been posting. It looks as if we won't be able to cruise in 2008. DS has his band trip to NYC right after school gets out. It's every other year, and the next one falls in 2008. He's really looking forward to that trip, and DH and I would be volunteer chaperones. So other than my girls' cruise in 11/07, we won't have any more cruise plans. Time for us to see more of the U.S. and the National Parks. Mary, the only time we can get to Chicago to the Field Museum is next month on the 21-22. You and Mark will be on your way to the member's cruise then. I'm sorry that we'll miss meeting up with you. I'll let you know if our plans change.

Hey, disregard what is on the post - you can chat without cruising.

National Parks are one of my very favorite places. Have been to many, still more to go see......

Take care....

Hi everyone,

Irene - sorry to hear about your friend. It's sad when our loved ones leave us. We have to deal with the pain then. Augie's dad will be there very soon. It is pretty much day to day with him. His lungs are starting to fill with fluid and he's not getting out of bed anymore. He's also in a lot of pain. The morphine isn't even helping.

It justifies my way of life...Carpe Diem people!!! Seize the day for tomorrow never comes.

Hi guys! I'm home. Wish I could say that I'm happy to be home, but quite honestly, I'd rather be cruising.
Especially now that I'm unpacking!! What a mess!!

Flight was on time and painless...slept a lot on the way home.

We had a great time, and hope to do it again some time. We'll make sure we let you other Moms and ladies know ahead of time.

That's it? I'm caught up already?

A sunset last night on the drive back to match the sunrise I had the morning before. Back home in time for a short trip north this am.

Sad news, yeserday...a friend is losing her battle with cancer (her second). We were hopeful she would beat it again, but is is not to be. Her husband moved her home last night after she was placed on morphine. They are such a devoted couple, I cannot imagine his pain. I can only hope she is no longer feeling hers.
prayers and PD to your friend and her family.

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 88 weeks*!

*DISclaimer. This is based on a sail date of June 7, 2008. This can of course change once the 2008 dates come out and if DCL has anything special planned.

Ladies from the 11 day - did you hear anything about 2008 dates coming out?

Our internet was down all day yesterday. sigh. It's tough having a DIS addiction - Walk into the office, plug and unplug the modem. No lights, but still have to walk into the bedroom sit down at the computer and click on e-mail. This process repeated itself every 15 minutes to no avail.

John arrived home on Wednesday from a wonderful and productive trip on Alaska. He shot some gorgeous pictures, the Aspens were in all their glory. I'll have to get him to post a few.

The alarm went off bright and early at 4:30 this am - he's off working for a race photography company. Today is the Race for the Cure.

The kids have Friday and Monday off - so the in-laws are down. Set construction is tomorrow night for the theatre group- they came just in time!!! :cool1:

Welcome! It's always a great idea for new members to introduce themselves. That might be a good idea for you.

I'm Jim and I travel with my family......:rotfl:

We understand. Our main computer is in the shop for a hard drive repair. At least we got it before it crashed. We are having to do all our homework, DISing, and planning for the around the world Gymnastics tour on Sharon's laptop.

Good Morning!

All I've heard is that the booking dates should be soon....October.....and an announcement about whether or not there will be any special cruises would be in February or so.
But the Captain said that there had been NO decisions about any more special cruises at all. He said his favorite cruises were Alaska and the Baltics. So maybe Alaska HAS been tossed around as an idea.

Tom McAlpin said that if we want to be the first to know about any dates opening or any special cruises, we should read the DIS!
