Prayers and Pixie Dust for my Dad.
Absolutely. He's on my list... along with the rest of your family. Thankfully he was well enough to enjoy the Alaska trip.
I haven't been on in 3 days, and only about 3 pages to catch up on... wow.
So... in the past 3 days... what's happened with me...
Hmm.... Friday... Ray accepted a new job.
He' be working as the VP of Motorsports for a company that provides misting fans and heaters to pro & college sports teams. Should be exciting. He'll be working from home, starting 9/1. He might be staying on part-time in his present job if all works out well.
Let's see... Saturday... Scrubbed the kitchen non-stop, in an effort to get rid of the ghost-ants that the exterminator couldn't seem to make go away. Ahh... Florida in the summertime... gotta love it.
Saturday night, had dinner at new Japanese Steakhouse (at least I think it's new... Jim- is Tepanaki new??). With the exception of Christopher, we all loved it... he didn't... but that's nothing new - he especially hated that they kept putting everything on one plate. (He wanted a new one every time.)
Sunday... cleaned out Christopher's drawers and closet... that kid has more shirts than he could EVER wear... why oh why do I keep buying them??? Finished up the last of the school shopping, and watched the first football game of the year!!!! Woo hoo!!!!
This morning reminded my what I hate so much about the first day of school... TRAFFIC!!!!!!!!! Because Christopher doesn't go to the school he's zoned for, we have to drive him... it took me over an hour to drop him at school and get to work. ARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!
I was in such an awful mood when I walked in my office, only to find out that one of our employees was severely injured in a motorcycle accident this weekend (yes, de ja vu for those of you who were around last year at this time...)... talk about making me forget about the traffic... He is going to pull through, but will face 6 months to a year out of work. Stupid fool wasn't wearing a helmet, and was goofing around on his own street... not going fast, but still... that's all it takes.
Now its off to a parents meeting for cheerleading... I'd rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick.
