Actually, we have mouse and rat poison around from some company, so I'm guessing this is old. I mean, SERIOUSLY I can't REMEMBER the last time I vacuumed the BACK part of my basement (that's how I found it....the vacuum hit the wall and little bits of this stuff fell out the bottom)

But Karen - we're staying in that lovely black bridal suite you found for us.

Great. But I'm sure they moved out about 10 yrs ago (before we moved in) and I'm just finding this now. I mean, I DO live in the country and we get the occasional mouse, but YIKES!!!

Alright. Going to try to get the guest room rearranged. Now that Mike's HUGE computer desk is out of there I can finally arrange the guest room in a "normal" configuration.

Apparently, Kevin didn't hear me calling him! Men....never around when you need them.

Maybe when the siding was added to the house, it sealed up any "entrance" there might have been. If you haven't seen or heard any activity, you're probably right, they're most likely gone.
We have mice in our attic...and not the cute kind!
Just about the time we think we're rid of them, another shows up and Jay can't find where they're getting in at.

I'd go for your theory. But the wall this was in is an inside wall. WHY it is insulated, I have no idea. I can only guess it's b/c it's between the finished and unfinished sections of the basement and they wanted to keep the chill out.

Mice can get in through an area the size of a DIME! Amazing little buggers, eh? We had some pest company come out and place poison "sticks" around (the ones that aren't totally concealed are in special containers so the cat and kids can't get in)

OK - made it to NYC - had a good day (took a nap after I got here)...

Anyways - interesting flight - about 10 minutes after leaving Charlotte - they announce for a physician on board... well - I guess that would be me... seems like the one end of the door of the overhead compartent fell off and hit a young lady in the head... sore head... headache, but not signficant injury. Made me feel comfortable with the rest of the plane...

Ate at a restaruant called Thalia's tonight. Very good - 2 nice glasses of wine for me... and then we went to see Jersey Boys. It was outstanding. I love the oldies (50's and 60's) but Frances only really likes Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. She absolutely loved it. Lauren tolerated it - didn't understand the 1st half - but liked the music and thought the second half was better....

Sorry to intrude on the girl chat....
