The pixiedust and finger crossing seems to have worked.

My dad just called. They have the pup!! Said she's a bit nervous right now b/c she had been running with 28 other dogs (including all of her littermates) and she was plucked from that into their arms....so she's not sure what to make of it. I think some TLC will get her past that, but will have to remind the kids not to maul her when they go home with my parents tomorrow.

They are on their way north again. Not sure how far they'll get before they get too tired to drive anymore. Guess we'll see them when they get here!

I liked Mike's article. I wish I'd read it earlier today.

I went to a wedding reception, and someone there asked me where I was going next (trip-wise). I told her I was going on a cruise in September, but I didn't say a DISNEY cruise. Every time I tell someone (especially someone who doesn't have little kids anymore) that we're doing another Disney cruise, I get that exact same head shaking.
So now, I just leave that part out, and feel like I'm being disloyal to Mickey.

yeah for your parents. Maddy has been dying for a puppy, we have to hold out till Matthew gets a bit older. he's pretty rough with the puppies and our friends and family also refer to Maddy as "darla" from finding nemo. She is obsessed with getting a puppy. We would get a maltese puppy, they don't shed and are very well mannered perfect for my kiddies. plus, i had one when I was in high school, loved him he was great to our oldest when he was a baby

we've only cruised Disney and I would still do it without the kids, but that won't be happening anytime soon since our youngest is only 1.

Ours was $320.93....the highest bill for the month of June since we moved into the house in 1987. Not the highest bill ever, by any stretch.
Our highest bill ever was $471.82 in August of 1995. Yes, we keep track.

I just opened mine up today - $452.14. Ouch! And Bryce hasn't even been here!

The last few times I've been on the boards it locks up on me just after I get started. It's always about 12:15am. I made a point to get on here a bit earlier tonight so I could catch up

Alan, his dad and his brother are in the process of driving to Cabo San Lucas. It's a "boys" trip to fetch a car that his dad has down there. He never imported it down there so it has to be brought back. It's older and has over 100,000 miles so he didn't want to drive it back alone. This way they can tow it back if necessary! I think I would have paid the import fees so I could have just left it down there. They sold there condo down there and there's some stuff they wanted to bring back. It's a loooonnnnnng way down there! I did clean out our closet yesterday. We'll see if I manage to get anything else productive done while Alan's gone

I've had all the ceiling fans going this summer, and have kept the thermostat at 74°. The heck with the bill!

The kids are home alone this summer... just got our electric bill for the first full month that they were home... $375.00 ... I can't WAIT for them to go back to school!! They don't touch the thermostat- it stays at 79... but I tend to think that they are leaving doors open and leaving TVs/lights/radios/computers on... either that, or my neighbor has tapped into my electric lines with his A/C

OM... LOVE the puppy!!! She's beautiful- hard to believe she's only going to grow to 25 lbs or so... somehow, I think she'll be bigger than that!

Although....I think we have a problem. My dad mentioned last night the dog has "4 white paws"....
but that dog didn't have any white on it's paws that I could see.
So I was searching petfinder again today and looking at "Belle's" siblings and came up with Bosco....

So, quite possibly they got there and weren't impressed with the female's personality and opted to go against theire longstanding rule to ONLY get female dogs. Hmmmmm....
