Stacey, What is going on? Can you update me or are you relly going to make me go back and read all 50 million pages to find out???

Angie Happy Belated Birthday!!! I hope it was a great one! Did your friend move here to Columbus yet? I know when I talked to her she was thinking that the would be here in early October...how is she settling in? Have her call me for anything.
I would email but this goes for anyone that corresponded with me via email please, my DH sold his old PC and I was not able to save my address book...So if you could please drop me a line...even just a "test" email so I can add you back to address book I would greatly appreciate it. I do not want to lose contact with you all, however I do not have as much free time to play on the boards lately. Plus I have notrips planned or in the near horizon, so honestly it just depresses me to come here sometimes :-( Wah wah I know I should be grateful for the trips Ihave had but what canI say I am a spoiled brat

Isn't the noise incredible? I went to college in a town that had an AFB where they had Stealth fighters. On a certain day of the week, they'd do training exercises and I'd be in class thinking for sure the entire building was going to fall down from the vibrations.

And I always thought it looked like the Batplane too!

Yep...we HEARD it before we saw it. I thought we'd suddenly gotten a really bad thunderstorm!
It was an awesome sight though.

So we have another day with no internet and everyone gets chatty. Eight pages? That might be a post-cruise record for us. Oh yeah, it was a milestone.

Stacey, do you have an HMO or something? That's lousy. I'd be at the ER too.

No, it's a PPO....but we still have to have a referral.

My doc called today with a new Ortho and appointment. I go Monday at 9:30. I called the Ortho's office to see if there was any way they could see me sooner, but they can't. I guess Monday is better than December 5th.

Let's see....that was either the time that my Mom called, just having gotten the message from my Dad that I STILL didn't have an appointment to see a specialist (and you KNOW how rankled Moms can be!) or maybe it was about the same time that I discovered that the dog had gotten out of the fence..(found him down sitting by the creek), or maybe about the time that I tried to get a better appointment with the specialist........

Naw......I probably AM slipping.......

Hi stranger!

A week ago last night I fell. We only have one lousy step from the kitchen to the family room, and I missed it! Landed face-forward on the tile floor, mostly on my right hand.
Went to the doc the next day and had it xrayed at an independent xray place, and the radiologist said he could neither confirm nor deny a fracture. I've been waiting ever since then to get a referral and get in to see an orthopedic surgeon. I'd gotten one appointment, but it wouldn't have been until December 5th....so now I have a new one for this coming Monday. Still a long time to wait if it IS broken, if you ask me....but obviously no one asked ME!

Ouch....I really dont want to hear that! About a week before our cruise this past Sept I stepped into a pothole at work, and twisted my ankle. I was a bit tender but once on board everything seemed fine. Now all of a sudden I am realizing that it still hurts when I catch it a certain way. The most noticeable is when I am on a ladder at work and I have to step on that foot only...........I keep hoping it will go away on its own....

But I'm a bit of a creep, so I'm going to tell you anyway. Way long time ago, when I was maybe 22.......I twisted my ankle wearing high heels. A sprain, the doctor said. He wrapped it up and told me to use crutches for some ungodly amount of time. Anything past our Thursday dance night at the local Irish pub was too long.
Yes, I went dancing. Enough beer and I didn't feel a thing. Needless to say, the ankle has obviously never gotten any better, because now, I can just be standing still and all of a sudden it will go out from under me. And I think that maybe (although I don't remember anything other than falling and thinking "oh crud") my ankle went out from under me. Let that be a lesson to you, young un!
My ankle is part of the reason that I really, really want to get my hand/wrist taken care of properly!

Caryn & kids are moving next week. They found a house & will be moving in then. I'm sure she'll be busy over the next month getting settled in. I'll tell her to keep your # in case. Whenever I get over there to visit, I'll give you a call.
