Maria - Are you guys still contemplating a Dec. trip to FL???

Hey Karen,

Yes we are, but I don't know if we can make the party. We'll probably be down in Ft. Lauderdale and that's a long trip after a few. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now. Who knows. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Don't feel "silly" - I get one every year and I NEVER get the flu!!! :yay:

Tori and I both got our's last week. Rachel (my 21 y/o "baby!") won't get one because she doesn't like needles!! who does?!!! Dwight always says he'll get around to it, but never does :confused3 I'll bet he's afraid of needles!!! :rotfl2:

Tell her to go with the flu-mist. It's like a nasal spray. Very easy, doesn't hurt and even more effective (introducing the vaccine via the portal that we actually GET the flu) We've all had ours already. I NEVER used to get the flu shot. Neither did Mike. Until he got the flu and ended up with pneumonia afterwards. He was on his back for a week! After that we were all converts!

Just curious .... why didn't you all start over?

We knew we wanted to cruise together again, and we knew we wanted to keep chatting, and we knew where to find "us" with this thread! ;)

Or maybe it's just we're too lazy to start all over...:rolleyes1

I forgot all about that option - thanks for the reminder! :thumbsup2

It'll have to wait until next week - Rachel's on her way to Jacksonville for the GA-FL game aka the "largest cocktail party"

Hi everyone!

First of all had a fun, but far too short cruise!

There's a trip report here=====> CLICK HERE

Thanks for the DCL booking news Pam!

On that vein.... What would you all think about having some of the DVC member cruisers join our merry ranks? A good number did a placeholder rebook onboard to be able to book a 2008 date and get the discount. A lot of them thought it was too short too! I was thinking, since their goals and ours are lining up they might want to jump in.

Mark - thanks for the trip report - and the pictures through-out the member cruise.

As for more Dismates - sure.......

MORNING TOP - MORNING TOP - MORNING TOP

It has been awhile - shared with Mark and new cruisers anywhere....

Speaking of the thread starter - has anyone heard from Amanda lately?

You out there DizPrincess?

And LadyPoo should be getting excited about the Dec. 26 cruise - right?

Are the Scubas and us next to board Disney?

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Friday!

After an early wake up yesterday it was great to be able to sleep in today. Yes 7 am is sleeping in for me. Mark is still asleep however. I have a load of laundry in and we'll be coming home with clean clothes!

Today is our last day in the "world" and we head home tomorrow morning. It is however a very special day as this is our wedding anniversary. We were married 16 years ago today! We'll be celebrating this evening with some DIS friends on a Wishes Grand Gathering Fireworks cruise. We're also meeting with part of the group for dinner at Ohana. The rest of the day we're just going to play it by ear.

We've seen the two things we've wanted to most already. The new Nemo ride is adorable and I highly recommend it. We also saw the updated Pirates ride yesterday and loved it.

Karen - how was Nick's opening night?

I couldn't say it any better than that. And I know this as I'm working on about 4 hours of sleep. If I try on my own it won't make sense!!! :)

Went well. There are a few lines he still swallows a couple of words. Must work on those. The audience was great last night---very responsive. I implore all of you though.....PLEASE teach your kids to be respectful in the theater. I was about ready to go choke a mom who let her kid crinkle her candy wrapper for about 30 minutes last night. Unfortunately she was too far away to tap on the shoulder and tell her (otherwise I would) but unfortunately close enough to hear the incessant crinkling. And all of this after passing the sign after intermission that says "no food or drink in the theater." Grrrrr.

But I digress. Good play. Off to hunt down the critic's review (although I'm not hopeful it will be good b/c director said this critic is ALWAYS harsh to the Columbus Children's Theater and if they are this time they are never inviting him/her back!!!)

I wasn't even thinking about the party when I asked... just curious- you know we'd love to see you if you're in the area. But you're right... Ft. L is a *little* out of the way!

Stacey- heading to Vegas any time soon??? I'll be there 11/7-11/9.

M&M- Happy Anniversary!!!! Sounds like a great way to spend it! Hope you don't get rained on! Looks like some is headed this way.

I hope you warned them that there will be an entrance exam on the first 51,400 posts :rotfl2: .

And those same kids' manners don't usually improve with age. Many times, the adults are worse than the kids!!! (After all, they've had YEARS to perfect their annoying behaviors!)

I'm sure tonight will be great. Don't listen to cranky critics!

This weekend starts the beginnning of absolute chaos for me. Lets see... why I won't be on the DIS much in November:

Tonight- Wine Festival!!! (Jim & Sharon... you really should be in DeLand tonight... great event!!)
Tomorrow- Last football game of the season.. woo hoo!!!
Sunday - Mid-Florida Cheer Competition in Orlando... this is what Elizabeth's squad prepares for all season. (And if they place 1 or 2, they go to regionals... which is the Sunday after Thanksgiving.)
Nov 1/2 - Ray to Atlanta
Nov 2/3 - I go to W. Palm to receive an award (lets hope Ray's plane lands on time, or Chistopher will be sleeping at school overnight :rotfl2: )
Nov 7-9 - Vegas for work meeting
Nov 10-12 - I take 20 teens to church camp for a weekend conference
Nov 17-19 - HUGE Art Festival that I am on the B.O.D. for (Ray in Miami possibly at the same time)
Nov. 19-25 - In CT, then NH then CT again for Thanksiving, visiting, and my 20th Class Reunion.
Nov 26th (if they place... which I'm kind of ambivalent about) Regional Cheer Competition

CALGON... TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

So... I'll see you all in December!!! I might be posting from the loony-bin, but hey, at least there, I'll have plenty of time to myself!!!

Happy Anniversary, Mark & Mary! party:

A couple who really knows how to celebrate an anniversary. Fireworks, no less!

Kiki, you win the Busy Mom award. Whew! I'm glad I don't have your schedule. Alicia is rehearsing for a Christmas dance show called Nutcracker on the Rocks. The rehearsal schedule is gruesome, but at least all I have to do is drive her there.

OM, sounds like a good opening. I know that crinkling paper drove you extra crazy. Seems like most people can block things out these days, but it gets me too. We taught Alicia theater manners when she was really little, and it bugs me big time when bigger kids are disruptive (or kick my seat!).

Yay, new stuff to see at WDW! We're looking forward to December. I was thinking about Amanda yesterday too. We may have to go hunt her down.

No, no, no... no awards... that would be just one more thing I had to do!!! (Unless the award was a DCL cruise- then I'd consider accepting it!!!)
