Of course they did not run out of beer because It was only Coors Lite and Miller Lite. Everyone was looking for Bud.

Well, we need a little PD for our 11 day cruisers.....

Sharon received a call soon after they boarded advising her that her sister had died. She's preparing to leave the ship and fly back to Phoenix. As it stands right now the other 4 are continuing their journey.... but with heavy hearts...

Mark - I have a question - you used to be able to search this thread but now, when I click on seach - it takes me to a page where it searches the entire forum, not just our DD thread....Can ou help? Thanks.....

Sort of... Remember the 'server busy'? Well, to take some of the load off it they farmed out the search system to this third party server(boardtracker) we now get, and there's no way to do a limited search like that anymore from the advanced search. The only way to search this thread is to click the one at the top of the thread labeled 'search this thread' and put the search text in the box that opens when you click.

Thanks Mark - I understand the need to limit server space. When I try "search this thread" it takes me to the entire forum....pooh!!!!

HM. It's not supposed to work that way. You're just putting the search term in the little popup box that appears? Advanced search will go back to the entire forum.

Sorry, Hedgie! I guess I just wasn't thinking........

Yes, we are here. They said at checkin that the ship was full, but it isn't. Many empty tables at dinner...and at the most, 100 kids. Lots and lots of much older people...senior types.

And yes, thank you for your prayers. Very heavy hearts indeed. An indescribable heartbreak. I'm beginning to not like sailaway days AT ALL.
DCL was so very wonderful to Sharon and to us. They didn't not hesitate for one second to take control and take care of Sharon. She got on a 5 pm flight to PHX and was home by 6pm AZ time. And her bags were taken off the ship right away and being shipped to her home.

We have Mr. Tom McAlpin onboard..... AND......guess who else is here???


HOLLYWOOD!!!!!!

I almost couldn't believe my eyes! He gave me a big hug and said "How many of our DOUBLE SCOOP GROUP are here?"....... He remembered all of us!

No big "shout outs" to the 11 night thread people, though....thought that was interesting.
We have Table 32....seems to have our names engraved on it. Our server is Cesar from Brazil and Kabela from So Africa....and both seem to be charming.
Brunch today was great...a little different than on the Magic....but still good.

Anyway....just wanted to say hi and to say thank you. It will be a few days, I think, before we feel ready to really enjoy. It just feels so strange and I think we're all still in a bit of a shock.
