5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 10

Got some good news today. I found out on Monday that I was not going to have Spring Break the same week as the kids. I had already been tossing around a trip out to LA to go see my brother in San Diego and maybe a few days at Disneyland. I was so disappointed to find out that I would have to use a week of my vacation leave to be off on their Spring Break.


Well, some dummy at work printed the wrong information in our catalog. Personnel Director came to see if my office (me) would send out a college-wide announcement letting everyone know that we will be on the same schedule as the local school districts. I let out a loud woo-hoo. Spring Break is 9 months away and I am already excited.

I can't believe that I have been on these boards for ever. Lost all my posts when the boards changed a few years back. ANyway, my son has only been on the boards for a short time, and he has been visited by the TAG FAIRY. Not fair, shouldn't parents be visited first????? Oh well, I guess it is my fault as I started his addiction.

We would prefer the June date. Late May doesn't work well with Mark's gardening.

Forgot to mention about dinner seating. We definately need to stay on early for many of the same reasons as Sandi.

I was on early seating and 5:30 was just too early for us. More than likely, we will go with late seating next time.

I would have liked to have particpated in a group brunch at Palo.
I also agree that a second meeting would have been nice. I really enjoyed playing LRC and we need to just schedule a time in the mini navs to play on the sea days...that way who ever shows shows. That was fun

Keep a main listing of who was doing what excrsns and when...that way we could plan things together. There was a lot of excursions that I wanted to do with yall but never got around to actually planning it. The one that some did in Costa Maya sounded lovely. I wish I could have gotten in on that.

Who has heard the new DIS Unplugged podcast?!?!? Pretty cool. We had heard about the "year of a million memories" or something like that while we were at WDW.....sleeping in the castle.....golden fastpasses.....extra magic hours for ONLY your family?!?!?!? COOL!!!

The neon green group was HUGE!! But as the cruise went on, a few of them got to be just as annoying as what I've heard of a certain other (repo) group....they had a few rude people. I am sooooo glad that WE didn't have any rude people.

I actually stopped and talked with one of the green shirts. They are a community from a town in southern Mississippi. Yes, Katrina territory. They had this cruise planned all the way back 2 years ago as a group, and blessedly most of them did make it on to the cruise.

Should tell that cute story too. The first night at dinner we're seated with Karen & Mike on one side of the table, Mary and myself on the other, and Nick & KT between Karen and I. So I order a smoothie(think milkshake), and so does Nick. And I get the charge, which I don't even bother saying anything about and sign off. The next night, the asst asks Nick first, then goes what'll your dad have, looking at me. All I could do to keep a straight face, and this went on thru the rest of the nights, with our otherwise stellar asst server never quite getting straight whose kids they are.

and in doing so, 'd the TOP that would have been MINE....
even though I had NO idea it was due for a TOP b/c I was doing the Virgil thing...

And, you need to go back and highlight the fact that you got a TOP!!

And, btw, I had a lot of fun playing LRC with you too!! Glad I found you at the Mickey pool!!! I did lap the ship twice looking for DISers to round up, but amazingly there weren't 38 of them at the adult pool that day!!!

Funny... as you were posting this, I was just thinking... a countdown ticker right now would say something like 103 (or, if we MUST move to the full moon, 104) WEEKS!!! That's soooo far away!!!
