Can I just tell you all that I have the most wonderful husband. I love Dumbo and a trip to WDW just doesn't seem complete without a trip to the Magic Kingdom and a visit to Dumbo in the hub. Well we won't be doing that this trip. So I came home today to find this waiting for me:

Isn't he adorable? Don't know exactly where we will put him yet but I love him! And I love the man who gave him to me!

This little guy is so cure - he bears reposting......

I am so aggravated today. My YDS (Andrew) has had a runny (green) nose for over a week and complains that his ear is hurting, so like the good mom that I try to be, I take him to the pediatrician, who will admit that he has fluid on his ear BUT won't give us any medicine. I am well aware that the infections can be either viral or bacterial. (All 3 of my children have had more than one set of tubes! They have had more ear infections than I can count on all my fingers, toes, and hairs on my head! And we didn't treat all of the infections with drugs.) All I wanted was an antibiotic just in case Saturday or Sunday morning he decides to spike a fever and be miserable, I would be prepared. I guess that this is just foolish to the DRs. ARRGHHH.

Sorry for my ranting! I feel better now.

Andrew doesn't, so I'm taking him to his ENT tomorrow pm.

Ugh... Horrible timing! Hopefully the ENT will give you some "just in case" antibiotics. Feel better, Andrew!!!!

Awww, that was so sweet of your hubby, Mary!

I just wanted to say we've got the car loaded up (good grief, is it ever full!) and we're leaving early in the morning so I'll be shutting down the computer in a few minutes.

We'll spend Thursday night in Orlando (no WDW this trip - boy, will that be strange!!) and we'll be at Four Points Sheraton in Cocoa Beach Friday. No JB's, but we're planning to stop by the Radisson around 8 p.m. so hope to see lots of you there. Grills breakfast Saturday morning at 8, then TO THE PORT!!!!

Safe travels everyone. Can't wait to see y'all!

Hope you have a good trip....and by the way - why are we taking all this stuff....and has anyone seen my sunglasses?????

Normally, I am the first one to say we all run to the MD way too soon and yes, too much antibiotics...(Well, except Stacy and that is a different story),,,,

But.....you are cruising.....the kid needs to get better - like - yesterday....

Glad you have an ENT------ for fluid on the Ear, which can be painful, the ENT may be able to give hime something to help reduce it....(but he/she may say no water sports....so be prepared.) AND, this is where I hope I am wrong.....Good Luck

on a packing note, I am almost finished! I am just having trouble fitting the shoes in the suitcases. I originally had one suitcase just for them, but decided that was just silly! I am only taking three pairs for myself.

I am still trying to figure out how can I make the suitcases lighter and not packed to the tip-top! My problem is that I don't want to wash clothes during the trip so everyone has 7 day outfits and 7 shirts for night-time dining, with a couple changes of pants for nights. Oh well, I'll worry about it later.

Tomorrow is the last day of school! It's only a half day for the kids!

Tonight, Dave got almost everything packed .......just need to do the last minute stuff.

Last count.....Kelly was bringing 9 pairs of shoes and Fran was bringing 7 (most of which are some type of black sandle)
Oh yeah...Kelly and I got our pedicures today!

Well, for some unknown reason I still have packing to do...I need to check the camera, need new batteries, pack the backpack, the overnight bag. Hedgie's hats have been safely repacked in the overnight bag.

I cannot find the pet sitter instructions...there is too much port in the carry-on bag, and where are my sunglasses???

Tomorrow I hope to get an early start to finish all house chores and laundry and packing and then do the girlie nail thing,,,,,with STarbucks....

Actually as far as I know they are still sailing with us and this will be cruise #50 for them. They never sent me any info on them so I'm not 100% sure but did see a post from Barb on another thread saying they were doing #50 in May. Not sure why they didn't want to particpate in the group. I've seen a number of posters on the main cruise forum who are sailing with us and even with invitations have never come over to the thread. To each their own.

I, for one, am glad I've taken the time to get to participate and get to know all of you. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone on the ship!

I'm too looking forward to meeting everyone after all these months of chatting.

Ladies, now here is a thought for the next cruise. We all post our shoe sizes...and after night one - we switch etc etc...So we all only need one pair of shoes...... Let's try to talk the teen-age daughters into that...

Thankfully, Elizabeth is already into my shoe size... (not that it has really cut down on packing, but it certainly gives each of us more options!!!)

Lotsa whiteout...

Well, that was an interesting evening. From the bizarre with the reject segments, to the ones onstage, like the 'clay' guy whern the real Clay walked out behind him. Or that scary guy that made Paula almost run away.

To some of the better guest segments, like the one with Dionne and Burt, they're doing very well. Not a real idea as to why Prince was there.

And I'm impressed, out of those two I really feel the right one won. I think it might have been different, or at least closer if it had been someone other than Kat there. I'm not bashing Kat, but just that 'thank you' at the end says the difference between the two of them more plainly than I could have. If she really wants to go into singing, she has to learn to open up more. It's not just about singing it perfectly as it was written on a page.

Now, I would make one comment, they should have let it out a bit earlier and show more of the celebrating after, not just announce then bye bye. That works fine thru the season, but, I'd have appreciated it a bit more if they would have had one full performance by the winner after the announcement, not just sing into the credits.
