I agree. Lisa loved the "writing style" used on the names especially. But, she kept searching thru the box. I couldn't figure out what she was looking for until she said in a "PANIC" - "Where is my BUTTON!!!" I had to remind her that the buttons come later as we board the ship. Well, OK, but she wants her button (and you didn't think the kids cared about their buttons Mary did you - HA HA)

Awww - how sweet! Buttons are packed up and will be in Jim's hands on Thursday.

Jim - if if it is easier for you feel free to open the box. Inside is a large canvas DVC bag that has all the packets in it. So you can either bring the box with the bag inside to JB's or just the bag if it is easier. If you want yours early just zip open the bag. Packets are in order by room number starting with deck 8. (I'm getting organized in my old age - this should make passing them out easier).

I started the packing process last evening. I will continue after work today. I am just not a big fan of ironing.

I got impatiens at Walmart for $.63 for a 6 pack. I want to get them planted before I leave. DH is hoping to get the lawn cut this afternoon before dinner. Ugh. That means I will have to weed wack and sweep the walkways.

Since DH is not coming on cruise, he loves it when I fix dinners for him to eat while I am gone. I'll be cooking this weekend and then freezing. He just got back from a week in California visiting two of his sisters. Since Cody ( our beloved dog ) is still not stable on the insulin, it works out that one of us stays home with him. We are finding it hard to find a kennel that will take him. ( Sue uses this really great kennel, the dogs get to go hiking and/or camping, but they don't take diabetic dogs. WAAAAAHHHHHHH.)

Now that all the cruise packets are put together and will be on their way to Jim the next step is up to you. Please pick up your packets at one of the following events:

• JB's on Friday night
• Radisson on Friday night (after JB's)
• In the terminal on Saturday
• At the onboard DIS meet 3pm on Saturday

If you cannot make any of these events the packet will be delievered to your room some time during the cruise but I can't guarantee when. After all this is our vacation too. Please make every effort to see us at one of these events and pick up your packet. Thank you!

Sue - we definately plan on getting to the terminal early. We'll find a nice place to camp out and will keep our eyes our for DISers. With the new boarding procedure it should be easier to find each other since there won't be a long snake-like line.

Well, except for the suite people......they have now made a roped-off area to the left of the big Mickey entrance (to board the ship) against the wall, for the pre-Boards. No more sitting on the couches by the windows. In fact, no more sitting at all....there are no chairs over there.
Personally, I think it's rather amusing.
"Sure, you guys can board the ship first.....just stand over here against the wall and get a back ache...."

Here's my take on ironing for a cruise. DON'T. I've been on 7 Disney cruises. For 6 of them, I did not iron one single thing before putting it in the garment bag or the suitcase. For one of them, (cruise #6) I did----mostly b/c EVERYONE else on the thread was saying "I'm ironing, I'm done ironing, I have to iron."

There was NO difference in my clothes when taking them out of the garment bag or suitcase on the ship. All 7 times they were just as wrinkley, whether or not I had pre-ironed them.

You make the call, but I will NOT be hauling out the iron for this cruise!!
