Now I know I'm home cause I'm up in the middle of the night. STACEY WHERE ARE YOU???

HA! I have spent the majority of my time since I've been home.....SLEEPING! I have been so exhausted. And I don't know why. I slept on the cruise. I think it's more of an emotional let-down.
Plus, Jared and I have been fighting colds/sore throats.

When Shutters retrieved my "deleted" pictures and put them on disk, they ended up being all out of order. Does it matter to anyone that my pictures won't be in order???
Also....technical question....I have waaaay too many "fishie" pictures. When I put the pics onto a disk to send to you, how do I skip over some of the fish pictures??

Stacey - not sure what photo software you are using, but you can copy the pictures from the CD and then import them into your photo manager. It will then put them in order. You can then copy what you want to the CD to share.

If you don't have a photo manager a great one is http://picasa.google.com/ it's free and very useful.

One thing I should clarify, and I'm really sorry..... we don't book the Cat 3 for the concierge service. We book it for the extra space in the room.

I already copied their disk into my computer. And I guess I could go through and put them in order, I'm just lazy.
But are you telling me that there is a way to put them back into numerical order?? It didn't happen automatically when I copied them onto the computer. I put the disk in...and I'm not sure which program automatically opens, but I just clicked "Copy to a file".

I checked. I didn't open it with any of my photo programs. It opened automatically with Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard.

Maybe I'll go back and use one of my photo programs to copy it.

Stacey - Download Picasa - I think you'll be amazed at how easy it makes your life (dealing with pictures that is). As far as the individual pictures - if you sort by date it should put them in order - but the best way by far is to use Picasa.

I have my own "fish butt" pictures........


Why not unselect those pictures when you copy them to the CD??

Sure! Just right click on the folder and select auto arrange.

I like to rename the files to something a little more sensible than DSC255842120 or whatever your camera like to name them. Some programs have an auto rename feature that is VERY helpful!!

Ok ladies and gents, boys and girls, if we want to to a photo CD swapping thing, here's the easiest method:

Send all of them to me, I'll combine them into a DVD-rom (hopefully one) or cd-roms(if needed), which I'll send back to everyone who sends us one.
Include $5 for materials/shipping etc. with your submission.

While I will be doing some fixing as needed to make all the pics into .jpg format, I will guarantee quality.

Deadline for submissions for the swap by the END OF JUNE.

Drop me a pm for mailing info.

Great idea and thanks for taking the lead on this. I'm sure Bear will be a great help to you.

We had three teenagers this trip, and it was worth every single penny, and then some, to have the extra bathroom (especially with the two girls!) and the sleeping space.

Those are all the reasons we booked a Cat 6 and Cat 11 across the hall. It worked great!! Had lots of extra storage. The kids enjoyed the freedom, they were able to sleep in. I was able to get up in the night and read, etc....

We love having two rooms and will continue to do this.

Well, I'm back at work and trying to catch up on the boards and trip reports. I just finished typing up my trip report in a word document. I'll post my report on the David and Ivan tour as soon as we get our internet back at home. I'd love to do a picture cd exchange, but am afraid that my pictures might be rather boring for the people that weren't on our excursions.
