She has been having computer problems since we got home... I just checked it on her webmail account, and the e-mail is there... I'll make sure she gets it when she gets home tonight.

Sure hope that she is feeling better! Nothing worse than being sick on vacation!

Gooood morning everyone. Can't say I'm happy to be off the Magic, but it's always nice to come home. Surprisingly enough, bags were unpacked yesterday and laundry started then, too.

We got off the ship around 8:30 Saturday and went to the Magic Kingdom. What a mistake. Kids were sooo tired that we left earlier than we wanted to. Bad decision on our part. But, I DID go on Space Mt - my 1st time. Not as bad as I thought. I HATE rollercoasters. Still do, but it was a big hurdle for me. We pulled in our driveway around 12:30 Saturday/Sunday morning and we all crashed, leaving all the luggage in the car. Got up Sunday morning and had to make our own breakfast and when we went to bed - NO towel animal. I'll have to speak to management about that one.

It was GREAT finally meeting everyone that I have chatted with for the past year and a half. Would've liked to have spent more time with all the "late dinner" bunch, but it doesn't really seem to work well. Who said they wanted to know what the "1st timers" experience was? Well, all I can say is WE HAD A MAGICal TIME. I wish it didn't have to end. I think we missed a few things onboard, but now I'll know for next time. Like KIKI - I now know why no one was in Rockin' Bar D on the last night....they were all in the atrium for the farewell. Darn it!! Didn't make the midnight dessert either. That's what happens when the kids are little and used to going to bed early. They'll be older next time.

I won't keep you reading a long post. I'll finish up later. Gotta go food shopping cause there's NOTHING in this house for dinner tonight. Back to the rat race if only for a few days of livin' large. Glad to hear everyone is getting home safely.

Amanda, Welcome Home! I admit I wasn't sure that SSR was as good a deal with the high point price, but I was talking to Sherry about it, working through the $$ in my head, and it IS a great deal! It's that 50 year contract thing, versus the 36 years we have left that makes the difference. Wishing you many years of great vacations!

Maria, thanks for your post. Being a first time cruiser is an amazing thing, especially on the Magic! So glad you enjoyed it!

We did rebook, just for a four day Thanksgiving 2007. We really have no intention of going on a four day cruise, but it kind of holds our place to rebook for a future cruise. It's possible that our next one won't be until Alicia graduates high school (2009!). I do hope we can cruise DCL again before then!

What am I saying? I am cruising DCL again, in three months! I meant as a family, of course. And all you guys are included in that statement.

I just have to say, this cruise went by way too fast. In spite of having an amazing time, I didn't do half of the things I wanted to do, and missed meeting a lot of you. Can we have a do over?

Have to run out in a bit....reality stinks......

We had a bit of a downer on the last day. Jordan's iPod was "missing" from our stateroom, and believe me, we turned that room upside down. It had been next to the bed, on the end table. She would listen to it at night before falling asleep.
Also missing is the case to Jared's PSP....but luckily, not the PSP. We didn't report it, didn't see that it would do any good. But the kids have now been told and I think finally listened, to always put things like that in a drawer at least, if not the safe.






Ha...just find this guy...hadn't seen him when I looked at all the new smilies. He's tip-toeing. Be vewy, vewy qwiet!

Well, I think we found the problem with our internet. The siding guys put 2 nails though our satellite cable going into the house, which is why I'm sitting outside of Panera Bread sucking up their wireless right now. I've got a lot of catching up to do, and probably not enough battery. I have to look into filing a claim with the cruise insurance about my 'lost day' at sea. Anyone ever have to do that? We had the DCL insurance and they gave me a booklet on it when I was in the dr's on Friday.

We're back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took me forever to catch up on posts since we only had the pda at WDW!

Had two fun days at WDW after the cruise. I think Mark posted this but we ended up being in the studio which is a lock-off to Pam's one bedroom. That was quite funny when we realized that Saturday night. They invited us to join them at Ohana for dinner on Sunday and drove us over. We had great luck because as soon as we got in the skies opened up! After a great dinner we got on the monorail together. We were going to switch monorails to Epcot and then walk back to Boardwalk. They were going to meet up with the ohio clan. So Pam's on the phone with Karen and Mark looks at his watch and says "we have time to say hi" so off to the Magic Kingdom we went! So in our 2 days we did all 4 parks!

It was an early morning for us as we left Boardwalk at 5 am. While checking in at the airport it gave us the option to upgrade to First Class for a reasonable fee so we jumped on it! So Jim Bear finally got to fly first class!

Now the laundry is started and Mark is already back at work. I go back tomorrow.

We had a wonderful cruise and I want to thank all my fellow DISers for making it so special. I loved running into so many people and some of my best memories are the little things like just stopping and chatting, or playing LRC. Special thanks to our great table mates Mike, Karen, Nick and KT!
