This has been confirmed as adding rooms (weeks to the PVB license).


5/28 - updating image which shows what others already figured out. Adding 11,322 timeshare weeks.


5/29 - updating image now shows Approved, Pending

I believe they are reading the amendment and will fill in the details later today.

It seems likely this will be modified to show them adding the tower weeks into the PVB timeshare license.

Yes - if they are amending this license then the Tower will be 100% confirmed as being part of PVB association

@mkatsy has pointed out they needed to add the tower to something (or create something new) to be able to accept bookings on the rooms in 10 days. He pointed out why add to hotel only to have to remove and then add to PVB.

@mkatsy also was the first person to find documents tying the construction to PVB ids.

What we are waiting for is the reviewer to put a description of the amendment. We believe it will mention adding the tower unit weeks to the PVB timeshare license. (This is what happened when BPK was added to VGF)

As a current PVB owner I will say this is really exciting to follow. If we end up having home booking priority with the resale contract we bought last year I will be floored.

I’m a huge fan of the new tower. Although there are some shortcomings like the small pool and potential lack of dining, we really enjoyed the VDH tower when we stayed in march and I think the island tower will be even better based on what’s been released.

Can’t wait to see if it’s finalized.

380 + 222 brings PVB to 602 keys.

Too bad they didn’t add 246 keys in today’s amendment. Then it would have been Experiment 626 (aka, Stitch).

Might Disney keep 46 rooms for the hotel. Specifically, rooms near the cutouts.

Put clubs in the cutouts and they have 46 more concierge/club rooms for the hotel.

At AKV don’t the have a mix of hotel and DVC rooms with access to club?

They do. The only reason is that DVC took over the 5th and 6th floor so they had to make the 6th floor DVC rooms CL since they have access to the lounge.

It’s why the lounge itself is part of AKV, and it’s contracted to Disney to run it as CL.

But, you are correct that nothing prevents them from keeping rooms for the hotel side and even make the CL rooms without them being DVC.

Could they sell some units as Traditional PVB and then have some units dedicated to a Trust? Since they would be whole units, I would think they could do that.

I’m dying! Could they have 24 Stitch keys to sell Which ones might they be? I’m sure Stitch loves 2B PHs and CL. He’s gonna come by those rooms every morning singing Elvis. I want to buy a Stitch Fixed week, even if he costs me an extra 10pts/nt. Lol.
