5/23 update p15 -- Strollin' & Boozin' 2008: Ain't No Baby Gonna Slow Us Down!

Yay! Another installment! Is it sad that I check this thread every week to see if there's an update? Yeah, work can get a little slow sometimes... :rolleyes1

Vettechick! I remember you from the baby boards way back when I was pregnant with my little guy!! Nice to see you again....Scooner is a princess and sooooooooooo cute!! :lovestruc

LOVE reading your trip report! Ya, going down there with a little one is very, very different as compared to previous adult-only trips!! We took Brady at 4 months and 13 months...and are taking him this September when he is 25 months! Lots of work, but totally worth it!

The sleeping arrangments are always tricky. Brady will sleep in the pack-n-play, thank god. We put it in the closet at the BWV...his own little "room". There is just NO WAY he would sleep being able to see us!! Here is a pic!

Oh...and your comment about being in hell or at a refillable mug thread made me laugh out loud!!! :lmao: Awesome!!!

Thanks everyone! raysnkaysmom I would love to read yours! I hope you will write one.

Aurora, checking for updates is never sad! I have done that on many occasions. :lmao:

You are so luckly she slept in the PnP!!! Our first trip with our daughter when she was two, we thought we'd do the same thing. :rotfl::rotfl:

We gave up and let her sleep with us (luckily we had a king size bed!) for the first time. For some reason DH always got the good end of her - I always ended up with the feet or the butt in my face.

I'm not sure which is better, feet or butt in the face! :rotfl:

He is so cute! I'm glad someone else does the closet sleeping arrangement. Honestly, tell me a child who wouldn't love having a closet to themselves. Throw a sleeping bag in there and call it a fort. Voila!

Thanks, we were there the one wee a year its refurbished, thats just our luck:rotfl:

boo on that! If you can go the first week of March, it's perfect! Nice weather and low, LOW crowds. Sweet!

I laughed so hard at your writing style and normally stay away from TRs with kids (I'll mount that battle when it gets here!) but your girl is beautiful and you are freaking hilarious.

ETA: I hit 500 posts with this yayyyyyy i'm now a dis veteran!

Everytime we find a closet big enough for a PnP we stick DS #2 in it that kid likes his dark.

When we go to DH's family condo in St. Petes we have DS#1 on his Aero Bed on the porch and the baby in the 2nd bedroom closet in a PnP. Now it's not as bad as it sounds but when people ask what we do with them there you get the sideways glance everytime.

Since we always start our March trips in St. Pete's at the beach we have to drive to WDW for the following week. Last month on the way we had to pull over on to the off ramp to allow DS#1 'unload' in the wee potty. That kid can go from camel to mach 10 evacuation in about 3.5 seconds so when he says it's time it's TIME!!!! I'm a bit surprised DHS let's us out of FL.

could be that im just hungry but the cheese plate looks yummy LOL

love the free pic turned out great!

Wondering how I could put the kids in the closed so that dh and I can have a bed to ourselves LOL (mine our 10 and 7 LOL)

I had to drop by and read your TR!! Love it!!! And all the pictures of Scooner are adorable!!!

OMG - I'm so stunned and honored. I was there when Vettechick was!! We were on the way to MK, heading to Chef Mickey's when marathon passed by!!!

I was tooooootally going to post today. I swear! Of course not an update. Yet. :) I am almost done with school (7 days!) and I have arranged for the sitter to watch Scooner everyday for a few hours this summer so I can:

1. take 2 graduate classes, and

2. finish my reports!

(Holy cow I am slower than Ryan Seacrest announcing the Bottom 3...)

I haven't said Hi yet, but i've been reading along. Love your report! I got so excited a minute ago when I saw you posted. I'm patiently waiting to read more. popcorn::

school needs to be out and a sitter given for Scooner, just so we get an update:lmao:

You're back.. with a baby! CONGRATS! To quote my fav movie "you have a baby.... in a bar..." :) LOL Love that Reese.

followed your previous trips and this one is just as much fun. What I love.. that Day 1.. only 1 ride :) simply classic.

Looking forward to more of your report, hope school is going well.

Well, I have been dreading this moment for some time now, but I guess I can't delay it any longer. :guilty:

I have to put off finishing this trip report indefinitely (at the pace I was going, indefinitely is not much longer :lmao: ). In all seriousness, there are some personal things going on in the vettechick household that don't make writing a funny, light-hearted trip report easy for me. I won't go into details, they aren't important (and don't worry - everyone is safe and alive and Scooner is perfect as always. :goodvibes ).

I hate dissapointing any of you, but I know you guys will understand. I appreciate your support. You are my family away from home, and it means a lot to me.
