The Need to Knows:
I'm Leah :wave2: and this is my family's 4th trip to DLP :cool1: . We are celebrating our DD's 3rd B-Day pixiedust: !!! This is her 2nd DLP B-Day celebration (we took her for her 1st as well). While I have enjoyed our trips to DLP I ahve to say it is all leading up to our big 2015 WDW Trip :lovestruc!!!

Where We Are Staying:
Back in Oct. we took a day to enjoy DLP while my Mother and Grandmother were in town visiting. We found a good price on a 2 bedroom apartment type accommodation...Adagio Access Marne La Vallée. We loved it :thumbsup2 !!! It was clean, close to the parks (10mins), and a very reasonable price. It has a small kitchen perfect of our little family to have breakfast to help cut the cost of food in the park.

The Basic Idea:
May 5-9. We are getting the 4 days for 3 tickets and spending one day in Paris for the Catacombs. DHS will only get a day and a half. DD is still too short for most of the rides and the shows really aren't our thing...and I doubt DD would sit through them anyway. DL will get the remaining 2 and a half days. We won't be doing any of the big rides  so no parent swap for us (we don't want to ride alone). The focus of the trip really is DD and making her smile :) . We drag her around to so many places where she has to sit, walk, and be quite that she really deserves a special trip all bout her :lovestruc ...love my little bug.

I just love the first pic. Your DD's face is so cute. Just adorable.

Thank you :) I am doing a quilt made with all of the clothes form her 1st year and I want this picture in the center. It was the 1st picture on her 1st birthday.

Bought our tickets :dance3: !!! I am so excited!!! The days are not ticking down fast enough.

A question: We are looking for quick services places that serve something other than hamburgers and chicken nuggets, any suggestions? :confused3

Hi! Last time we went we really enjoyed out meal at Hakuna Matata (we had chicken strips and fried potato slices). Not sure if this is much help to you though as quite similar to chicken nuggets and is counter service! :confused3 The only quick service ones I can think of only serve ice cream/cakes.
If it is open another counter service that serves something different is Pizzeria Bella Notte that serves pizza, and Casey's Corner serves hot dogs etc.
There's a full list of restaurants and their menus on dlrpmagic.com if you are interested :)

Last night my DH got to talking to his DSis about coming to visit us soon. He said,"It's too bad you can't come in May while we are at DLP. We won't have money to travel if you come any other time."

Well, now the plan is for her to come and join us :yay: it will be on her 20th B-Day. However, she just now (as in Tuesday) turned in her passport paperwork. :scared: We leave in just over 5 weeks and it can take up to 6 for her passprt to come in. :hourglass the clock is ticking.

In preparation for our trip I decided to order DH, DD, and myself T-shirts from the Disney Store :hyper: .
I have been waiting very impatiently for them to come in and thank goodness they arrived within 7 days of ordering...well mine and DD's did, DH's is one of the design your own and it should be here in couple of days :woohoo: .
Sadly I did not have enough notice to order one for SIL :( , but maybe we can find one at the DV when we get there.
Also, :offtopic: does anyone have any experience with the Balloon at DV? The day we arrive we don't have park tickets, but want to do something for SIL for 20th B-Day. We will see the Eiffel Tower that morning, but want something Disney related.
Without further ado....our shirts:

Mine #1

Mine #2

DD's...I was hoping to find her more than 1, but she only found 1 she liked.

I will post DH once it arrives.

Wow, not long to go.
Hope you have a fab trip. Your l.o is adorable and so lucky to be spending her birthday in DLP again. Dont forget to call to City Hall for a birthday sticker and a phone call from Mickey Mouse :thumbsup2

Thank you kizzabel!!! I didn't know you could call City Hall for Birthdays!!! :worship: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Yep just pop down and they will be more then happy to help you out. I've done it for both my two kids birthdays and they loved it :)

DH shirt is here :cool1: !!! He is really excited. All he has wanted for about a year now is a shirt with Steamboat Willie and now...

it's HERE!!!

On a side note...can anyone guess which Disney movie is playing in the background :scratchin ?

My DSisIL made it here safe and sound. Yesterday we took her to Cochem to the Medieval Dinner and Castle tour. Thought I would share a couple of photos from it.

The Castle!!!

The Dining Hall.

From left to right...DH Joe, DSisIL, DD Bug, and Myself.

This was an amazing experience and a really fun night. It started with a 40min tour of the castle. Then we were lead in the Dining Hall. One couple was picked and put in costume to be the Lord and Lady of the castle then seated at the head of Hall.

We had hand washing boys that came around with buckets of water and towels around there necks to dry our hands.

Next was bread and a HUGE cauldron of soup. Followed by dancing, wine, and the Shame Mask :rotfl2: (sadly my camera was working at that moment).

Then the grad feast of Giant Turkey Legs!!!

Just a few more days!!!

We head to DLP first thing tomorrow morning :cheer2: !!! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for this trip. Tonight we will be packing our bags and getting everything loaded in the car. Normally I would spend all of today packing, but we have a Birthday Day Party to go to for my DD BFF...worth loosing some pacing time :) .

The plan for tomorrw: We want to be on the road between 5 and 6 am. We are driving from the Kaislautern area of Germany to Paris and with a 2yo that's that uses the potty, so I am guessing about 5 to 5 1/2 hours. It will be DSisIL's 20th B-Day so we are taking her to the Eiffel Tower. Sadly, I didn't have enough notice to make the financial or ticket arrangments to go up it or to do much of anything else :( .
After Paris we will drive to the hotel, check-in, and get stuff situated. I don't have dinner reservations or anything, but we plan to go somewhere in the Disney Village. I want to pick up DD an autograph book and DSisIL a tee shirt (she doesn't own anything Disney...makes me so sad :lmao: .

I will hopefully be able to update daily while on our trip...we shall see.

We woke up at 5am and hit the road by 6am. The ride went smooth enough with only 2 restroom stops. DD slept until after 10am and we were parking our car in Paris by 11:20am. Maybe it was because it was Sunday morning, maybe we just got lucky whatever the reason we found a parking spot right away and only a 10 min walk from the Eiffel Tower!!!

Let me say at this moment things with DSIL went horribly down hill and fast :headache: . Our original plan for this trip was to leave directly for DLP at about 10am and have a relaxing easy day. When DSIL deciced to join she made it clear that for her 20th B-Day she wanted to see the Eiffel Tower....so the morning of her birthday she got to see just that. However our efforts were met with..."Who the (bad word) wakes up at 5am?!?"..."That's it? I'm disappointed. It's not that great."

We didn't let her comments stop us from being excited and moving forward. After we crossed the bridge we decided to go to the right....why the right? Oh because there was a free public restroom and DD REALLY had to go :rotfl: . We continued on and followed the path on the right of Tower then cut underneath and came out on the left.

Bug (DD) was saying she was hungry and DH agreed it was time to eat. We hit up a little cafe on Av. de la Bourdonnais (I think). It was ok, but far more expensive than I had expected...56 Euro for DD, DH, and myself. Good thing I over budget for everything.

After lunch I FINALLY got to see the Eiffel Tower from the park :woohoo: !!!

After Paris we went to the hotel and checked in, unloaded our things, and headed right for the Disney Village. First thing DD noticed was...

Yep...the balloon. So we went up!!!

The view was nice, but it was a little chilly (even on a warm day take a light jacket up there.

Then came the 3rd hit of the day..."It's just high up. Why'd we pay for this?" I dunno DSIL maybe because this DLP trip is for your niece's 3rd BDay (early gift, her BDay is in Aug, but the timing was just better now) and she REALLY loves balloons!!! But then I could be wrong.

We discussed dinner options and Rainforest won....now back stateside I LOVE Rainforest, but at DLP...not a fan at all. Any complaint DSIL had I'm sure I had as well. It was too expensive, a small selection, and the service was bad to put it lightly :( not a win. One good thing DD loves elephants and was super excited everytime they went off :) way to find the bright side Bug.

After dinner we went back to the hotel and prepared for a 7:30 wake-up for a full day at DLP!!!

Bummer DSiL being such a pain - travelling with rellies (or sometimes friends) - hmm-it can have its moments. Good to see you are keeping your patience and not letting it spoil things to much and yaay for DDbug-oh to be a child again! Looks like you had great weather. We arrive for our first visit to DLP next week. Forecast is for cloudy and showers-oh well. Enjoying following your report but have to catch up on the rest probably en route.

BTW-you will LOVE WDW in 2015-we took DD there as a graduation present in 2008. Allow enough time as with the four resorts plus water parks if you go at the right time of the year (plus checking out all the other hotels is a lot of fun) you need enough time not to be racing about and to have downtime for DD just in the pool or napping. You also need to be on the ball and book ADRs early if you want to eat table service or character meals.

Enjoy the rest of your hol!
