4th of July

Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times but is Disney usually max capacity on 4th of July?

I want to go mostly for firework so I wouldn't go all day. I also have a premium pass so could I still get in even if the gates are closed?

We were in CA last 4th of July, and we were shocked at how nice the park was. Maybe everyone was over at DL, but we really enjoyed the day. We rode everything we wanted to! We are so used to the WDW wait times that we were really in disbelief when Tower of Terror had a 10 minute wait right before we had lunch.

There is a good chance DL will reach capacity. Having a Premium AP does not guarantee entry. Initially they will stop new ticket sales. Eventually they will only let people in who have hand stamps from that same day. Then they will close the gates completely.
