4th of July which resort?

We do not want to be in a park on July 4th. We are now booked for the Wilderness Lodge June 29 until July6. I have Hoop De Do resevations for 5:00 & was planning on watching the fireworks from the WL Beach. Freind of ours are staying at BWI & now DH wants to spend a few day at the end of our trip at BWI. He thinks it better than the first part of our trip so the familys can do their own things for a few days. What do you think of The BWI on the 4th for fireworks?

The entire Boardwalk area is great on the 4th of July!!! Last year we stayed at the Dolphin. We watched the MGM fireworks (Sorcery in the Sky done specially for the 4th) and later watched Illuminations - all from the Boardwalk!

We have ressies for the 4th at the Poly. Sitting on the beach watching the fireworks across the lake at the MK sounds like heaven to us. Mimimom

The 4th of July at most WDW resorts is very special. We will be at the GF on the 4th...watching the fireworks at MK!

The Epcot resorts are fantastic for the fourth! A couple of years ago we stayed at the BC and really enjoyed Illuminations and the speical 4th of July addition to the end. Even without going into Epcot, you can get a fantastic view from the bridge between the BC and BWI.

We are at the WL July 2-9th. I am so excited. We are going to Narcoossee's for dinner at GF and planning to watch the fireworks from there!

You will really enjoy the BW on the 4th. Lots to do and the view to Epcot's fireworks is great.

I really can’t think of a bad resort location to view fireworks, other than maybe AKL or AllStars, but we have not stayed there yet so I don’t know for sure. We have been to CR, CBR, WL, Poly, BW, and FOFQ, and each have had nice views. I agree about BW having a lot to do and see. You should be very happy there.

Boardwalk or Swan/Dolphin would be great choices for a special 4th. The Swan is right next to the Boardwalk. Usually S/D runs some sort of discount beginning on July 5th.

We'll be at GF and plan to stay there to watch the fireworks and stay away from the craziness of actually going into the park!

No better place thatn the Polynesian beach. We use to go every 4th of July and the way the fireworks are set up with them going off on the islands in front of the Polynesian beach you have everything right in front of you with it all reflecting off the water. They also have the Electric water pageant with the flags and stars going in front of the Polynesian beach exclusively. You can't find a better view on the 4th.

The next best would be on top of the Contemporary but even there you are looking back and forth. At the Polynesian everything is lined up in front of you.
