4th of July at Hilton Head

We were able to snag a 1 bedroom at HH for 4th of July weekend. Has anyone been that weekend? Is it miserably crowded? Does the resort do anything special?

We've been before, but in October. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!!!!!

Wow, I am impressed. When did you call? We would love to go to HHI for the 4th sometime but thought not owning there it would be impossible.

We called at about 11am Easter morning. I jokingly thru those dates out fully expecting them to be booked solid. They had a studio left as well! Now to just try to get some information about the island then. I don't want to go if we will be miserable.

You are really lucky. We will be there for the 4th also, but made our reservations at 11 months for sun-thurs 2 bedroom. Summer months are really hard to get for sun-thurs so weekend was a better shot. It will be very crowded at both pools, but the beach will hold a crowd. Parking at beach house will be tough unless you go fairly early or you can take the shuttle. Restaurants are also very busy...Resort has tons of activities and will probably have a BBQ($) ...great views of fireworks from resort if they are the usual area for shelter cove fireworks(every Tuesday in summer)..not sure its the same for the 4th.
We usually go in June and its really hot then, so be prepared to the hot humid stuff!!!
