The parks especially Magic Kingdom are reported as being exceptionaly busy for the 4th July celebrations. However my understanding is that Wishes is a special show rather than the normal fireworks show.
I can't see us coping with having to be in the park all day before it is closed to guests.
So to my question ;)

Would you watch the 4th July fireworks from California Grill or beach at Polynesian :)
Or go to MK on the 3rd when the special firework show is also on :)

I would watch them on the 3rd. We went to discovery cove one year for the 4th and it was so relaxing. We then went to the studios at night as they had a special fireworks show. The parks are usually really crazy

Personally I would stay away from MK on the 4th July. We went one year, it was really nice to be in the MK but it was a nightmare it get out of it. It took as 90 minutes to get from the Haunted Mansion to the car park:scared1:

:scared1: The troops would not cope with this so I think I will say with the original intention of going to Celebrations after a day of shopping :)

I went to MK during 3rd of July last year for the fireworks. We didn't have problems with gettting on rides during the day (bar the odd long queue) But when the fireworks show was being set up, tons of people showed up.

The 4th of July show was certainly quite something, the show itself went on for something like 20-25 mins with lots of Americana songs and stuff. But so was the mass exodus that preceeded the end. Lots of people moving into the middle, some of the masses trying to move into adventureland and generally it became a literal human traffic jam, which wasnt helped by the fact that directly after they were setting up a performance of Spectromagic

All in all its something to see, but you may prefer to just youtube it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wm1Wh1cCqBY
