My daughter is exactly 47 and 1/2 inches :sad1:. Her big brother is way beyond that and will be riding and sliding on everything. If she were to wear water shoes, which just may give her the extra 1/2 inch she needs, will they let her on the big slides? Nothing like a big brother to make that 1/2 inch even worse, especially when she is such a daredevil. At least she'll be able to ride everything in the parks this year. She is definitely 48 inches with her tennis shoes on. ::yes::

Thanks!

I Don't Know If That Will Do It (the Watershoes)...but Bumping You So That I Someone Knows They'll See This Thread! Hope All Works Out For You.....and If She Can't Make It On This Time...they Do Have The Height Requirements For Safety Reasons....she'll Be Able To Do It Next Year, So That Just Means You'll Have To Visit Disney Again!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't get my hopes up. My oldest daughter last summer
was just over 48" in shoes, and just under without.....she was cleared by
the lifeguard at the bottom of Crusher Gusher (Typhoon Lagoon), but because
in bare feet her head didn't "stop" the height bar when the lifeguard at the
entrance to the slide itself, she was not allowed to go down. Needless to say,
I was a little pi$$ed.....not necessarily at the policy, but the fact the lifeguard
at the bottom and the one at the top had "different" standards.

I know it's probably not supposed to be that way, but lesson learned the
hard way.

I would say its 50/50 at best so make sure your dd is prepared for the very real possiblity of not riding the 48" height restricted rides.

My dd was 48" without shoes prior to the trip and still just barely made the measurement at RnRC with sneakers. She also did not make the measurement for 48" at BB even with water shoes :( I imagine they have a bit of a cushion built in for shoes so be prepared. In the end she really didn't mind too much as there was plenty to do with that she was tall enough for. Hopefully your dd will feel the same.

Even though its dissapointing better safe than sorry!

They measured my daughter every time on slushing gusher. She was exactly 48inches. I was so relieved but I had prepared her that she might not be able to ride if she were too short.
