So, I am so excited and so very blessed. :worship: I've been to DW lots and lurked around these boards for about 5 years. Time for me to turn the tables to share my experience with all of you! I can't thank all of you enough for your inspiration! So, I'm off......Hello :wave2: and I hope you enjoy what you see here. :flower3:

You can call me Merida and I love all things Disney! My passion seems to expand infinitely year to year and as work carries me to Orlando for multiple meetings a year, I get to feed the frenzy often! :rolleyes2

Thanks to work, I'm back in Orlando for two meetings in July and another meeting in September. I think I am the type of person who loves to plan the trip more than I enjoy the trip-but it is all part of the fun! :rotfl: I love Disney Food and try to venture a little off the beaten track with each trip. Some of my favorites are Le Cellier's Filet with Mushroom Risotto and Ohana's and Cape May Cafe's Character Breakfasts.

The July meetings coordinate around my Mom and Dad's 43rd Wedding Aniversary where I am taking them and my daughter (Tinkerbell who is 5) to Beach Club Resort-We are staying Club Level and have the Deluxe Dining Plan. We will be there July 25 through July 31 and hoping the Pixie Dust abounds for their anniversary! (My daughter is about to start kindergarten this year and so this will be the last time to Disney before vacations get cut out during the school year. My parents were school teachers and it is unheard of in our family to take a trip during the school year.

In September, I'll be back for work for a Girl's Trip and my 39th Birthday with my best friend Daisy! Birthday is September 12 and we are staying through the 18th. For this trip, we are again doing club level at the Polynesian with the Deluxe Dining Plan.

My next post will outline the details of our Beach Club Trip in July with the following post outlining the food details of our Polynesian Trip in September. Can't wait to start! :cool1:

Hello! So, this was originally supposed to be a short trip for just me, but meetings put me back to back in Orlando and to stretch the time, I asked my Mom and Dad if they wanted to travel down to Disney again with my daughter. They said "yes" and my anniversary plans for them went into swing. :thumbsup2 We've done deluxe before and know its lots of food, but pace ourselves by not overeating at buffets and enjoying the charachters more and by splitting a meal here and there so we don't drown. Also, the sweating and walking we will do will work it off!

My parents were married on July 26, 1969 and so this will mark their 43rd Wedding Anniversary. My mom and dad have a couple of ailments each, but for the most part, don't let this slow them down even though I can definitely tell age is catching up with them. I'm blessed to have them with me still and thankful for the role they play in my daughter's life. (Side note, my husband isn't as much as a Disney nut as I am and he prefers fishing to Disney, so when we are doing Disney, he almost always has the boat and fishing line in the water! :fish: )

You'll see more than 18 credits being used. Mom, Dad and I will share some meals and sometimes, my mom will stay back in the room (heat affects her and she needs to rest often the hotter it is). I got Club Level because I wanted it to be special for them and because my Mom can go and get a beverage whenever she is back in the room. Also, my dad, loves to wander and can't sit still. Going from the room to the club to the pool will keep him occupied! :goodvibes

My meeting on the 25th doesn't end until 1 pm, but my parents and daughter are flying in around 9:30 am to catch the ME to BC. The dining plans (today-as they change frequently as times and venues become available :surfweb:) are as follows:

So, this trip has been planned and in the works for over a year. I've been upgrading it as additional discounts have become available. My friend Daisy and I are heading to the World and staying Club Level at the Poly! I'm so excited. This is my dream trip and to enjoy adult beverages around the World with my best friend is a dream come true!

I've been to Florida in September so many times and I truly believe it to be my favorite part of the year to go. Who wouldn't love to be at Disney on their birthday and get to enjoy MNSSHP! :cool1:

We will arive on the 12th (My actual birthday) and the fun will ensue! :cool1: (Deja Vu-as this will be birthday 3 of the last 4 that I have been able to spend in my happy place enjoying the best of Disney!) :figment:

Will update as time and plans allow. Until then....:wave2:

Oh my - two great occasions (congrats!), two awesome resorts, and two wonderful dining itineraries!

You have such great restaurants planned - I'm excited to hear your thoughts on not only the signatures, but also places like Rose & Crown, Mama Melrose, Tusker House, Cape May, and Via Napoli.

Looking forward to hearing more. :goodvibes

It looks like you have two wonderful trips planned for two special occasions! Your dining plans include some of my favorite Disney restaurants like Le Cellier and Yachtsman Steakhouse, as well as a few I've never been to like Captain's Grill, Fulton's and Portobello or Maya Grill. So I'm very much looking forward to reading your reviews. :surfweb:

Oh, and I just realized that you will be dining at YSH just a few days after it reopens, as it is supposed to be closed for refurbishment through Sept. 14. So I'll be anxious to hear if they have made any changes or just did some cleaning/sprucing up.

Hope that you have two great celebration trips, filled with lots of Disney magic! :tinker:

Welcome to the Disboards!

How exciting to have not only 1 but 2 trips to look forward to!

Yachtsman should be wonderful for an anniversary dinner! How very nice of you to plan such special things for your parents.

And then a special b-day trip to WDW with your friend. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to hearing about it!

WOW, Merida! Looks like you have 2 amazing trips planned! Have a marvelous time, and thank you for planning your reviews!!

Looks like two very exciting trips! Can't wait to hear all about them. It's my dream to stay CL someday!

Oh, what wonderful trips you have planned!

Selfishly, I hope you pick Maya from the group of options on your anniversary trip. It is very rare to see a recent and reliable review of this restaurant. The current incarnation of the menu has some items that look intriguing, and I'd love to hear your take on the place. But whatever you pick, I'll be reading along.

:goodvibes Thank you all for the wonderful feedback.

I am so excited I can barely wait. Mostly, it will mean that most of my work will be done! I think I may have to work the next week and a half straight to get through it all, but it will be well worth it when I'm swimming in SAB with my DD.

This heat has me craving some Kaki Gori and Orange Bird Citrus twist ice cream....and don't get me started on Dole Whips....and my favorite Le Cellier beverage-the red maple.....YUM! Heaven awaits! :cloud9:
