Sniff Sniff, home day. Luckily we still have time to run to a park. Warning, warning... no one but me is up and it is 8 a.m.? I drag everyone out of bed, finish packing, say goodbye to our animal friends, grab junk at Mara's.. then off the AK. We actually miss the opening!!! Shamefull! It was like 9:10. Do all the usuals, but Dinosaur closed today. We spent most of the time wandering the paths, enjoying the sights and sounds. We ran into Divine and watched her for quite some time. We also saw the painter/juggler guys. I had never seen them before, but one of them looks like the guy who does similar stuff in front of France at Epcot. Anway, sad to be going home, but really tired... if you can imagine that. We have a last lunch at Mara, then Tiffany to the airport. Home cold home awaits.

Best Dinner: California Grill... food and ambiance. Really good prices on wines as well. Most restaurants are about 2 1/2 times retail, CG is only double. So splurge if you want.

Best Ride:Mission Space.. but don't do it twice in a row.

Best spontaneous Disney Moment: Street performers waiting for the parade at Disney Studios.

What I love best about Disney
  • C.M's who love their jobs and do more than is required - the joking bus driver, the funny, friendly bellman, the nice restaurant host
  • Really clean room... every day
  • Monorail
  • The smell of AKL
  • Toilet seat covers, everywhere...

What I don't like... Fewer CMs going the extra mile. Longer waits than we used to have for busses. Corporate Disney cutting back and treating employees badly. Cheap toilet paper. And most other expensive hotels I have stayed at double sheet their blankets. I love this and really expect it at Deluxe hotels. It's just a germ thing with me.

Closing: We had a fantastic time. The kids were an ideal age to really enjoy Disney and spend time together, not an easy thing to do with a teen. It was a fantastic trip we will all remember forever.

Great report!!! Thanks for sharing :teeth:
